What does the "3" in 3224/3 and 3424/3 means?

Hi and thanks for the fast reply.

I have the 3224 and use Picoscope6 now. I'll have to read your post, digest and play around a little.

Clarification:

In the musicprogram Audacity I can do what I try to describe in my post above (recording and watching/zooming the whole 30s trace) but I need the precision and analysis power of Picoscope.

Will the 3224 intoduce these gaps/loss of information when running in Picoscope or Picolog?

The only way of getting true continuous sampling of, say 30 seconds, would be by writing my own software?

Record and zoom in Picoscope

Hi! Lets say I want to record a 30 second 1kHz sine waveform continuously and be able to search and zoom in the waveform/data, what would be the best way? I have been able to collect the data but it is very tiresome to click on the "block button" in order to search for info. I would like to be able ...

Thanks!

I was aware of the relationsship between FFT points and frequency of sampling.. must have had an off day. :)

When using such a differential probe... is it a must to disconnect the PC from mains supply then?

Otherwise there will be two connections to ground and I assume that could cause problems?

Voltage divider with PS3224

Hi! I want to use my PS3224 for watching power (+/-20V to +/-100V)amplifier output waveforms and FFT/distortion. I will use the scope with a laptop running on batteries due to unearthed powersupply to the laptop (SMPS wallwart). Does it matter (as long as maximum voltage at the BNC input is +/-20V)i...
