Re: Blowing up MOSFETs connected to the PicoScope

Hi, Firstly, the PicoScope PSU should not be putting out 30V AC in any way. If so please contact us on Help-Desk for a replacement:- support@picotech.com Secondly, I assume you are using a Laptop with an un-earthed PSU otherwise you will be grounded to mains earth anyway. It is always best policy to...

Re: 3rd party parallel adapter cards

Hi,
An ADC-200 will not work with PicoScope6 at all, nor with an 64 bit operating system. You will need PicoScope5, a 32 bit system and a 3rd party parallel adapter card.

Re: Software for TC-08. Different Versions on included CD!?

Hi,
The TC-08 is a slow speed, high resolution data logger, it requires the PicoLog software. PicoScope5 is of no use, it is used for fast, lower resolution signals from an oscilloscope.

Re: TC-08 Accuracy

Hi, Yes, the cold junction (ambient) temperature is taken as the starting point for calculation of scaling errors, just as you have done in your equation. Thermocouple error is in addition to the TC-08 accuracy and from what I can remember your equation to calculate total error is correct. Regards, ...

Re: USB TC-08 keeps disappearing on USB connection

Hi, Yes, you are likely to have problems extending to that distance with USB extenders. Here is a report we did a little while ago:- http://www.picotech.com/support/kb/kbfiles/CAT5USB.pdf I think you will be better off using a Belkin USB HUB:- http://www.picotech.com/support/kb/kbfiles/BelkinNetwork...

Hi, Our only suitable logger is the Enviromon current monitor @ £499 + carriage + VAT which can monitor 3 single phase AC currents for long periods:- http://www.picotech.com/current_monitoring.html If you wish to monitor five circuits you will need an extra EL040 converter @ £249 and two more curren...

Re: No Lowpass filter and advance trigger

Hi,
Please make sure you are using the latest version of PicoScope6 (R6.4.28), "Maths Channels" and "Reference waveforms" are available in "Tools", on the ToolBar.
Unfortunately, "Low Pass filtering" and "Advanced triggers" are not available for the 2204.

Re: Temperature logging

Hi, If they are reading in reverse you may have them wired up in the wrong polarity, just reverse the wiring at the plugs. Why have you twisted them together? Each thermocouple will have two wires spot-welded together at the tip. Do not connect tips together otherwise, it will cause errors. Regards,...

Re: Software for TC-08. Different Versions on included CD!?

Hi,
The only software for the TC-08 is "PicoLog". Click on "Install Picoscope 5 and Picolog" and it will ask whether you wish to do a "Custom install". Say Yes and it will ask you to select what you want, just install PicoLog, you don't need PicoScope5.

Re: Messuring Current Loop

Hi, It all depends on how quickly you need to sample. If 1mS sampling is quick enough, try the PicoLog 1012 or 1216:- http://www.picotech.com/multi-channel-daq.html For anything faster, you will need to use an Oscilloscope, start with the 2203:- http://www.picotech.com/ultracompact-oscilloscopes.htm...
