Re: pulse width triggering

Correction! The scaling now also works with the triggering! So that might not be your problem! I know older versions of PicoScope did not scale the trigger values. Are the settings you created from an older version of the software or did you create them from scratch?

Re: pulse width triggering

Hi,

You have the probe on x10, the actual trigger will be on the raw value rather than the scaled value. Reduce your trigger value to be say 200mV.

Hope this helps.

Re: Enviromon R5.21.5 emw32.exe JPEG export bug

HI yeah I noticed this problem as well recently, I have found a work around in the meantime, for jpg files use the older executable from 5.16.2 , I did this by installing the older version, copying the executable and renaming it to for example emw32a, then installing the new version of EnviroMon. Th...

Re: Resolution enhancement limits number of samples

Hi, One thing I was made aware of today is that if you capture the data in its raw form and then save it. You can later open up the file and then apply the resolution enhancement without limitation. This limit is applied when in real time to ensure the software will work well on most PCs (even on a ...

Re: Resolution enhancement limits number of samples

Hi David,

You are correct, with filtering and measurements the number of samples is limited to 2MS. This in turn will limit your sample rate, depending on your time base. If there was no limit it would affect the overall performance of the software and hardware really.

Re: Enviromon: Data Extraction troubleshooting

Hi Umberto, Sorry for the delay, I have been on holiday for the last couple of weeks. This does look like a dotnet framework error, you only need .net framework 2. The -d is to download the data from the data logger, if you have EnviroMon already running it should not be used. Could you send me what...

Re: 4227 External Trigger

Hi sorry haven't been in the office lately, It depends on what you want to do, you can trigger and acquire the data on one channel and that way you can have the maximum sampling rate. If however you wanted to acquire on one channel and trigger on another channel then you need to enable both channels...

Re: 4227 External Trigger

Hi you have a point, my initial post I forgot to mention that there is a +/-150mV threshold where the trigger does not work. This is just due to hysteresis in the circuitry. The specification lists this : http://www.picotech.com/picoscope4227-specifications.html Sorry if that caused any confusion. K...

Re: Active filtering in persistance mode

HI I assume you are using 6.6, try using 6.7 which is available on our beta website:

http://labs.picotech.com/

most of what you say has been resolved.

I will pass your comments to our software team.

Re: Picoscope 4262 Low Pass Filter?

Hi Jim, Low pass filtering is a software mechanism in PicoScope 6 this is only used in the scope mode, for more information please refer to the manual under section 7.2.1.2 http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/psw6.en-26.pdf The 4262 itself has a hardware 200kHz bandwidth limiter which can be access...

Re: ADC212 out of range!

It could still be noise on the signal though as the probe could act as an antenna, one suggestion is to short the probe tip with the ground lead. Also try measuring a AA battery between the probe tip and the ground lead, put the voltage range on +/-2V.

Hi,

It could be an internal power supply issue, please email support@picotech.com for further information.

Re: Maximum number of samples

Hi Phil, In PicoLog the file limit is 1 million samples per channel, if you wanted more you would setup the software for the "Action at End Of Run" to be either "Repeat Immediately" or "Repeat after Delay" what will happen then is a number will be added to the end of your file name, so for example i...
