Re: PicoScope 6 with Automotive Oscilloscope 4423

The 3424 model is not automotive scope and hence will not work with Picoscope automotive versions of the software. You can use the main test and measurement version - picoscope 6 with this scope - https://www.picotech.com/downloads/_lightbox/PicoScope6 PS - Standard Automotive models (3223, 3423, 42...

Re: Unexpected Behavior of Automation Commands

Hi Hailey, 1. Differences between 'file save as' csv and 'Copy as text' I found a number differences between the two- -The waveforms start at a different place compared to picoscope. -'Copy as text' has a few more samples. -If a low pass is applied to channels the 'Copy as text' samples are not filt...

Re: How to copy and paste measurements

Hi, Tomtam,
Yes you will need to run the 'command prompt' as administrator.
(start menu - cmd - right click on cmd.exe - click 'run as administrator' )
I would suggest you use the beta version of picoscope 6 to avoid this issue-

Re: 5244B - Channel A and Channel B not equal

Yes the scope probes can pickup RF if the signal is a high signal level.
The probe must have been picking up the RF from the buck converter itself.

Re: Unexpected Response of Automative Commads

Hello, The command of Measurements.CSV? entered in Command Prompt, and running away. This issue does not happen with the beta version. You can download the beta from the download page. If do find this issue with the beta please post the issue here again with the psdata file. The NaN seem to to be re...

Re: How to copy and paste measurements

Using Picoscope.com /a Measurements.CSV? >> measurements.csv will append each measurement to the file. Each line/row after 0ms: Measurements.CSV? is a whole Measurement. ie Channel, Name, Value, Min, Max, Average, StD, Capture Count Sapn A,AC RMS,999.5 mV,999.5 mV,999.5 mV,999.5 mV,0 V,1,WholeTrace,...

Re: Unexpected Response of Automative Commads

Hello, What version of picscope 6 are you using? You can find the version from the Help menu - About picoscope 6 I tried out "Measurements.CSV?" command with the current stable beta builds with no issues. NaN, standing for not a number, is a numeric data type value representing an undefined value. I...

Re: using a 2 ch pico to log SPI?

Yes this setup should work, are you using the stable version of picoscope? Yes it is possible to decode SPI using the 2204A. I would highly recommend you try the new PicoScope 6 Beta software which has a much improved serial decoding feature. As the current stable version has some serial decoding is...

Re: New SDK Installer Instructions

Hi Aaron, The Picoscope application ('picoscope.exe') looks in its folder for the dll's, to use. (ie "C:\Program Files (x86)\Pico Technology\PicoScope6\") The SDK installers will always add it's location to the start of the windows PATH environment variable. If you were deploying your own applicatio...

Hello Ulrich,

I would remove the 100ms delay. You may still find you have a vertical edge in the waveform when changing frequencies.

Re: 3000 series labview software provided by Pico

Hi Tarmimi, You cannot request a sample interval (sec)from the scope, you can only set a timebase number. See the timebase section of the programmers guide, which has the formula, for the model of scope you are using. The input being fed back is the actual number of samples returned from ps5000aGetV...

Re: 3000 series labview software provided by Pico

Hi Tarmimi, The number of samples is not related to the sample rate (Hz)/ sample interval (s) You are correct to convert between sample rate (Hz)and sample interval (s), you just take the inverse of the number. ie sample rate (Hz) = 1/ sample interval (seconds) And sample interval (seconds)= 1/sampl...
