Re: 4227 External Trigger

Hi, The 4227 specs indicate for the Ext Trigger that - Voltage range ±20 V - Threshold range ±150 mV to ±20 V Based on previous discussion in this thread, with a 10bit ADC, one would expect 40mV granularity for the trigger level. What does the +/- 150mV " threshold range " indicate then? Aren' t the...

4227 grounding

Hi, I am looking for clarification on how the grounds are connected internally in the Pico 4227. From testing the grounds on channel A and B ( when the scope is off), it looks like both channels' grounds are connected to each other. So does it mean that : 1. when I am acquiring from both A and B sim...

Re: Picopp folder missing in SDK r10.4.1.1

Martyn,
Here is the content of the system\x86 folder from the SDK zip file:
System-x86 folder.PNG
no picopp.sys nor .inf, so they can't be manually placed in their expected location...

Picopp folder missing in SDK r10.4.1.1

I want to install the Pico driver without installing Picoscope. In the SDK 10.4.1.1 folder ..system\, the SystemDrivers readme file indicates: Before using the examples for USB devices, kernel drivers must be installed. This is normally performed by the PicoScope or PicoLog installer. In order to in...

Re: Pico driver handle value

Hi Martyn,

So if I read you correctly. Handles are now starting at 16384 (Hex4000) ?

Thx

Re: Pico driver handle value

I had situations where an error would occur and the handle would remain "active", and it would become impossible to re-open a connection unless the scope USB cable is unplugged/replugged. This is not possible in some situation, and the most successful approach I used was to preempt the issue by firs...

Re: Using a PicoScope 4000 series with VirtualBox

Hi, After yet more fiddling it now works. I followed the instruction https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29034 that describes the issue as well. This approach at first did not work, but after repeating it, it worked. But yes, it sounds that there are some potential issues with USB. Thx...

Pico driver handle value

I have been using Pico 4224 and more recently 4227 for a few years, and I am programming with LabVIEW. I work with one scope at a time, and I had notice that the handle returned by the dll function call that opens a connection to the scope was typically always 0 or sometimes 1. Based on this, in my ...

Using a PicoScope 4000 series with VirtualBox

Hi, I am curious to hear whether people experienced some issue in using a Pico Scope 4000 series (4227 n my case) with VirtualBox, the virtualization software? Host: Win 7 VirtualBox 4.1.10 with Windows XP guest OS. The Pico shows up in the USB device list of VirtualBox, however VBox returns a messa...
