Re: PicoScope Beta 6.9.5: Improved waveform update rate

Our team of very talented engineers have continued to work on improving the max number of waveforms per second.

R6.10 beta available from http://labs.picotech.com/ increases the maximum number of waveforms per second as high as 100,000 for our USB3.0 connected oscilloscopes!

Re: How to control vertical range of Spectral Mode?

As its just off the screen try dragging up the left hand axis with the mouse to reveal more. Another option is to click on the x1 icon at the bottom left, from this you can set a zoom of say 0.9 to reveal more.

If that does not work, let us know and we will find another solution.

PicoScope 6: Improved waveform update rate

In a recent forum post http://www.picotech.com/support/topic13697.html we explained how our oscilloscopes maintain a fast waveform update rate even with very deep memory enabled. They can process and display more samples per second than any other oscilloscope on the market. As well as fast waveform ...

PicoScope Beta 6.9.5: New filter options

Beta releases have NOT been fully tested by us. If you choose to install and use the beta software you should expect to run into bugs. These bugs may range in severity from minor features that don’t work to problems that may cause your PC to crash. This forum post is intended to provide a brief int...

Re: The USB bottleneck myth debunked

Hi EPAIII, The raw data / samples are always stored in the oscilloscope. If we sample at 5 GS/s with a timebase of 2ms/div (20 ms total) then 100 million samples will be stored in the scope. As described above the scope uses the hardware acceleration to quickly form and transfer the image to be disp...

Re: Intro and a question

Hi & Welcome!

A 10kV video amp sounds impressive, if a little scary!

PicoScope has a XY mode, quick way of getting it is to enable 2 channels, right click "Add view" and select XY. If thats not what you are after then just let us know.

Re: Picoscop 4424 can not connect under Win7 64bit

Martyn can better advise than me on this, but the trace file extract has mention of files from PicoScope automotive. The PicoScope 4424 is not an automotive scope so will not work with the automotive software. If when you start the software the splash screen says PicoScope Automotive then uninstall ...

Re: PicoScope offset advice

As Martyn says, lets have a look at the trace and see if we can do the job with the hardware you have. If not then something like the PicoScope 5242A http://www.picotech.com/picoscope5000-flexibleresolution.html would have several advantages and is in your budget. Rather than just 8 bits, you can ha...

Re: The USB bottleneck myth debunked

Hi, The answer is the same with all the deep memory PicoScope - there is no USB bottleneck with the 3206MSO. In this case the max sampling rate is 500 MS/s rather than 5 GS/s. For example at 10 ms/div timebase you can collect 50 million samples per waveform. The hardware acceleration engine is alway...

The USB bottleneck myth debunked

PicoScope oscilloscopes are well known for offering far deeper memories than competing benchtop or PC oscilloscopes. In fact for most of the last 20 years different generations of PicoScopes have offered the deepest memories available on any oscilloscope at any price. Due to the fact our oscilloscop...

Re: Picoscope demo mode triggers extremely slowly?

Hi, The PicoScope 3400 and all our scopes with deep memory have built in hardware acceleration which ensures screen update rates much faster than any other USB scopes and also much faster than most benchtop scopes. At fast timebases you get 1000s of updates per second. Even when collecting huge amou...

Re: Measuring Micro Amps with Pico4424 DSO

Hi, Few (non contact) current clamps will resolve to under 1mA. The K110 probe is one exception, but its fairly expensive http://www.amazon.com/AEMC-K110-Micro-Probe-Signal/dp/B008S0JLEK There are a couple of other options. Firstly its possible to amplify the signal measured by a current clamp by pa...

Re: Where's "v/div"?

Hi, I think you are after the vertical position control so you can pull the signal you want to the middle of the screen and then use a more sensitive range? If so then its in the channel optons - press the icon with the channel letter (A, B etc) and the down arrow. From here you can adjust the offse...
