Re: FlexRay and PicoScope 5444B

Hi,

Could you post a psdata file of the issue, here :D We can have a look once we have the file.

File menu -> save -> enter file name (file type should be set on psdata)

Re: Inconstant Frequency readings

Hi GusUS_IA, It maybe that Picoscope sees to many samples when trying to calculate the frequency. Also the sample rate is lower which is most likely the cause. You would need to zoom in to the waveform to see what the scope is actual seeing per cycle. In any case I would increase the timebase so its...

Re: New SDK Installer Instructions

Hi Pradeep, Yes, there have been a few customers with same issue. I'm not able to replicate this here, the problem more of a system/installer technology related. Long discussion here: http://windows-installer-xml-wix-toolset.687559.n2.nabble.com/Certificate-install-to-local-machine-fails-with-code-2...

Re: TA189 minimum mA reading?

Hello Joe, What was the reason that TA018 was better than the TA189. I would say the TA018 would actual be worse, for low mA readings. Accuracy- TA189 ± 1% of reading ± 2 mA TA018 ± 1.5% of reading ± 5 mA The cost difference is due to the TA189 having better performance and accuracy. If you are usin...

Re: Multi-monitor support - Window resizing issue

Hi BJC, Currently we are redesigning the user interface, of which GUI components will be replaced, this will affect this issue. So it is unlikely to be looked as at. Also we only have one PC here to test this issue on. The next beta version will have some of the interface changes so I would try this...

Re: I2C serial decoding window

Hi Tony, The issue of 'floating window resizing' will be fixed in the next beta release. As for the your feature request to sort columns from low to high and high to low. I think this would be a useful feature; you could sort packets by, read/write, addresses, data, buffers etc. So I will create a r...

Re: FFt amplitude

Hi Vincent, The amplitude in FFT is the Root Mean Square (RMS) value of the waveform. The FFT settings will also affect the results, number of bins and the where the bins fall in relation to the signals frequency. As well as the window function used. For a 2V peak (4v peak to peak) sine wave the RMS...

Re: Math Channel Filters , filter characteristics??

Hi,

All the Filters are FIR and use a 'Hamming window' in the filter design.
They are limited to 32,000 taps (this defines the minimum lowpass frequency in the channel options).

This page explains FIR filter design-

Re: PicoScope 6.11.6 Beta for MacOSX

The PicoScope 6 versions for linux and Mac are beta, and do not have all the features of the Windows version.
Unfortunately this includes the "resolution enhancement" and lowpass filtering options.
We are moving towards having stable versions for both platforms.

Re: Hello Pico in Xojo

Hi, Our driver code is closed source. The colour of the driver splash screen is related to the programming language calling the driver. With Xojo the progress bar is green, with C and VB its blue. I tried following code to set a NULL string- status = ps5000aOpenUnit(handle, "", 1) but found I had to...

Re: addition of equation from the graph

Hi,

This is very simple to do, you multiple the values by your scaling factor (m) then add your offset value.

linear equation-

Code: Select all

y(graph) = mx + c

Re: Arbitrary Waveform Time Duration

Hi, Yes the AWG examples are not that user friendly when having to set the frequency and dwell time. You need to use the formula on page 83 (11.50 ps5000aSetSigGenArbitrary) of https://www.picotech.com/download/manuals/PicoScope5000SeriesAApiProgrammersGuide.pdf So you had to calculate the Delta cou...
