Re: Phase rulers at 0-720deg - Is it possible?

Hi Alex, I believe that I may have misinterpreted your question. I thought that you wanted to interpret 720 degrees of rotation at the second phase ruler, instead of marking cycle end points along the waveform. The functionality should be more intuitive in the new version of software soon to be rele...

Re: Connecting Picolog 1216 with Analog Pressure Sensor

Hi andy, Looking at the Series Catalog, once you've supplied it with 12 to 24V, the output of the sensor will very between 0-5V. So, to connect it to the PicoLog 1216 for capturing your pressure readings, you would need to connect it as shown on Page 3 of the 'PicoLog 1000 series Small Terminal Boar...

Re: ETS mode

Hi Mmm22, The techniques are essentially based on the same thing. The difference is where the term is used. Our Sampling Scopes can't give you a waveform plot from just one cycle of a waveform, because they don't perform the reconstruction of the waveform from all of the samples of a waveform gather...

Re: TC-08 Datalogger Calibration Procedure

Hi Peter, We recommend that the period in between calibrations should be once every year for the average TC-08 being used and stored in an average way. Note that this is impossible to give accurate information for because it depends upon how quickly the components are being stressed/aged. So it depe...

Hi John,

The 2206B uses 400-500mA in normal operation.

Re: One way to make (possibly) any parallel adapter card work

Hi Enzo, That's very interesting. I just assumed that the VM would pass through to the host, without being able to circumvent the issue that the host has in making the connection. I'm going to have a play with that kind of setup to see what's going on. We get recurring requests of this type from cus...

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, no, you can't in the current version of PicoScope 6.

Re: TC-08 thermonuclear tip isolation

hi kazu14, I have re-written this answer for brevity and clarity This is to some extent to be expected with Type-K thermocouples. If you look here: https://www.picotech.com/library/data-loggers/thermocouple-tolerances, you can see that the Class 1 Tolerance values for our Type-K thermocouples are ±1...

Re: Best way to map Signal generator sweep mode?

Hi Tryalt_f4 To answer your questions: 1/ Yes, go to 'Spectrum Options' (the icon underneath 'Views' in the Menu), and in the 'Y-axis' section, select 'Peak Hold' in the drop down list for 'Display mode'. 2/ Yes, you can get the Signal Generator to automatically do the steps for you, as follows: In ...

Hi Julie, This may be better handled on our help desk, as we will need a lot more information (with attachments) to look into this for you. So, could you send an email to support@picotech.com, and attach images of exactly how you have everything setup and connected, along with a diagram of the conne...

Hi Robimoo, I assume that you have tried the Application Code from our Repository here: https://github.com/picotech, and had a problem with it (if not then this is where you will find what you are looking for). If this is the case then could you let us know what platform/operating system you're usin...

Hi sdbr, I will submit a feature request to our development team regarding this feature. In the meantime, or as an alternative, 2 of our loggers (PT104 & CM3) have an 8P8C (referred to as RJ45) connector for Ethernet, and you can add Ethernet (or Wireless Ethernet) to others by using a wired or wire...

Hi Pierre, I'm answering your query this late because I'm responding to Mmm22, who has brought to my attention that this post was unanswered. CORRECTION MADE NOVEMBER 5th 2020 The values I used as an example were wrong. The Real-Time cycles used to donate 1 sample to the ETS waveform are the ETScycl...

Re: Envelope mode

Hi Mmm22, Downsampling is where the effective sample rate is reduced down. This happens when you apply a mathematical property, e.g. averaging, along a predefined number (block) of samples for a single captured waveform. So as you are replacing a block of samples from the same capture with just one ...
