Hi Marco, What you wish to achieve is technically feasible if you were to write your own application software, and your solution would be an interesting and useful addition to this forum. You could of course simply use cursors in PicoScope to determine time difference between channels (and therefore...

Hello Guest,

Your application requires the PicoScope 9201 sampling oscilloscope http://www.picotech.com/picoscope9000.html as a standard oscilloscope is unlikely to have the analogue bandwith and low jitter that will be required.

Hello PMarine, As you seem to realise, the PicoSope freqency meter does not count pulses and a conditioning circuit is required as you have identified. You may wish to consider building a circuit around an LM2917 to convert RPM to a proportional voltage. You could then use PicoLog data logging softw...

Hello Marco,

I am curious that you wish to measure frequency response rather than step response.

You could conceivably measure the latter with one of our oscilloscopes, however, you would need to define the parameters.

Hello vicb,

The resolution is 16-bit on all ranges.

If you are experiencing resolution below that, you may wish to look at the application environment for sources that dominate the noise floor.

Hello Matthew,

The '-P' invokes an .exe file whereas, you wish to access a function within the program from the command line and, that is not catered for in the application.

Hi Gorm,

Please de-select 'Auto trigger after'.

Click on the 'start' icon in Recorder before the initial trigger, to set the recorder.

I believe the above should solve the problem
