Hi, You can use the Windows Task Scheduler to start PicoLog at midnight (or whenever). Use the -r switch to start recording automatically and you'll have to specify which settings file to load. Have a look in the PicoLog users manual under 'Startup Commands'. Theres an example of how to start PicoLo...

Hi, You should be able to do this with an ADC-11 or ADC-16. There will be some simple signal conditioning involved so you can calculate the resistance by measuring the voltage. You will get a data sheet with the unit explaining how to do the signal conditioning to measure Temperature from Precision ...

Hi John, Thanks for the .psd files. Well, I think either the ADC or the parallel port on the PC is faulty. If you could try the ADC-40 on a different PC and confirm that the problem still exists then you've almost definitely got a faulty ADC. If thats the case contact our returns department for an R...

Hi,

I'm afraid we have very limited support resources, and we can't in general help people with writting their own software. Its up to you to make the best of the examples and drivers that we provide.

You might find other users here on the Forum that may be able to help.

Best Regards,

Hi, In reply to your questions, 1.- There are two issues here, the fact that A) the software cannot sample at the high speeds you require for the lenght of time you require, and B) the software is not capable of playing back the data. I will elaborate on these two issues: A) The ADC-42 has a maximum...

Hi John,

I can't replicate the problems you describe, I've tried both 5.09.4 and BETA. Could you email me some .psd files showing the problem, so I can have a look at your settings?

Hi,

I'm afraid this is not possible with the TC-08, it was not designed for that. All it does is log temperatures from thermocouples.

Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. It is possible to read the .plw file and convert it to hex but it is not something that we support so I cannot give you much help on this. The .plw file format is in the help manual, have a look under 'PLW data file format'. With regards to your other queston, it is n...

Hi,

I had a look at the load cells, you should be able to log the mV from the cells without problems. You'll have to supply your cell with 5V from an external power supply though, unless you use the ADC-16 which has a 5V output.

Hi Ger,

Yes, this is a bug we are aware of. The problem has been dealt with and will be fixed in the next release of the software. Unfortunately I cannot give you a precise date of when this is going to happen.

Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, we sell the hardware interface (ADC's) that can read the signal from your load cell and log the data on your PC. We have a wide range of ADC's, which one is suitable for you will depend on the output range of your load cell, number of channels required, sampling ...

Hi, I'm sorry you are having problems with the TC-08. Something else you could check is that you don't get overload on one channel, or between channels. The TC08 has an input range of approx 60mV. If more than 5V difference occurs between any of the inputs to the TC08 then incorrect readings will re...
