Re: Is it possible to make the Picoscope software use complete data for math channels and measurements?

Hi Mmm22, UPDATE 31/1/23 As a result of answering a recent customer question, I was reminded that this post was still incorrect. So, just for completeness (i.e. to correct the following posts as well), the first paragraph has been changed to the following 2 paragraphs: Our PicoScope software has 2 S...

Re: System Accuracy Calculations

Hi asauter@gmail.com, Regarding your Calculations Accuracy on ±20V Input Range is ±0.25% of 40V = ±0.1V. For a measured value of 12V, an absolute accuracy of ±0.1V represents a percentage accuracy of ±0.83%. So you're correct. Regarding the precision resistor When calibrating for accuracy, the effec...

Re: Importance of Linux as supported OS

Hi Justyn, I appreciate how frustrating it must seem to have gone this long without an update, so I apologise for that. There are a number of reasons why we aren't quite there yet. While the cross-platform development makes updates Aeons quicker to implement on all platforms, the overall development...

Re: Current measurement

HI Jag68,

Could you post a diagram so that we can see your hardware setup, and a picolog data file so that we can see your software setup.

Regards,

Re: Is it possible to make the Picoscope software use complete data for math channels and measurements?

Hi Mmm22, PicoScope 6 software already does use raw (complete) data for Measurements and most Math Channels (the whole purpose of applying Measurements and Math Channels is to measure and manipulate what was actually acquired). PicoScope 6 is sent both downsampled and raw data, from the hardware, du...

Re: Thinking of buying a Pico data logger

Hi Mike,

The PicoLog 1012 Data Logger can't be use without a PC connection. PicoTech Data Loggers, and PicoScopes are all USB based Data Acquisition Devices, that are run from a computer.

Re: ps6000a SDK Documentation

Hi cassiersg, We don't have a 6000A series family. Our older 6000, 6000C and 6000D series are all supported by this Programming guide: https://www.picotech.com/download/manuals/picoscope-6000-series-programmers-guide.pdf. Unfortunately, our newer 6000E series Programmers Guide isn't available yet. R...

Re: Slow triggering/slow sample rate override

Sorry, to clarify this, my answer was for a different problem, and posted here by mistake. My answer refers to the Software occasionally freezing indefinitely when using a long Timebase (notably with the PicoScope 5000 series).

Martyn's answer is the correct solution.

Re: System Accuracy Calculations

Hi asauter@gmail.com, OK, as I'm still unclear about your measurement goal, I'll answer your questions directly from your posted query. Regarding your PicoScope 444 calculations and remaining question: Input Range of ±10V = Full-Scale range of 20V, so DC accuracy is 4.2%, and System accuracy is 4.7%...

Re: Datalogging 8 Channel

Hi Woster, I'm a bit unclear about your description. You say that you have split the 24V supply to each sensor and ground, but then you ask if grounding the sensor would improve the reading? Shielding the signal wire that goes to the terminal board, or better still replacing it with shielded cable, ...

Re: Number of Pico Scopes on USB

Hi landisgyrHQA, You can connect up to 20 PicoScopes to a computer, but how many devices you will be able to interact with will depend entirely on your computers data handling capability (which depends upon the number and type of available resources, e.g. Data Processing, Movement, and Storage, etc)...

Re: System Accuracy Calculations

Hi asauter@gmail.com, I'm assuming that, you're considering using 4 channels to perform 2 negative and positive measurements, which you will then sum in a Math channel to give you the differential (which is why you ruled out a 2 channel device). However, that's unnecessary because you only need 2 ch...
