Re: Two 4824 on one scope to make 16 analogue channels

Hi Kunal,

Yes you can, by running 2 versions of PicoScope 6. However if you intend to have them capturing data together then please refer to this post topic40612.html?&p=144325&hilit=synchro ... on#p144325

Re: PicoScope 6 user's manual

Hi JCD,

The latest help is built into the software. Is there anything specifically that you needed to know that this doesn't cover?

Re: Can I connect microphone to PicoLog 1000

Hi encepence, I assume that you mean you want all of the sinewave to have positive values (i.e. you want the waveform to be lifted just above 0 volts) in which case you need to amplify the microphone voltage so that the maximum will be greater than + or - 2.5V. You can then you can use the Small Ter...

Re: data collection/save rate

Hi weschang, Sorry for the delay in responding, and actually, you did mention your own application. I don't have any figures for what the waveform update rate should be in Linux, but back when Windows 8 was around, the PicoScopes of the time were able to achieve these rates: https://www.picotech.com...

Re: Install Picoscope 6.14 in a Single Board Computer (SBC)

Hi John,

It tends to be the processor that is the issue, as there isn't enough horsepower to process the incoming data, update the display, etc.

Re: Flow measurement (pulse)

Hi DJB, Sorry I have been off work for a week and then catching up last week. The short answer to your statement:- "You cannot even with a math channel, neither show frequency or count pulses with PicoLog 1000. It requires an integral function and a such is not" is that you can show cycle or pulse c...

Re: Noise and DC offset cancelling on Picolog

HI m3g4by73, When you say probes shorted together do you mean Probe tip and ground clip? If so, then the Probe will be acting as an antenna and picking up any nearby interference. If you are just trying to look at the noise on the input, you should terminate the input with a 50ohm load, which repres...

Re: Overhead time for setup changes

Hi Franzmann, If theses variations are in the time it takes to acquire the data, then, unfortunately, the variations that you are seeing are not related to the different setups. They are mostly the uncertainty of the time it takes for the computer and PicoScope to establish a USB communications chan...

Re: recommended laptop

Hi Gweldgen, No, there isn't. It would be costly enough in terms of time, resource and even price, to get all of the laptops out there tested. Then when you add to that all of the different possible operating systems, configurations of running software and hardware attached, it would be remiss of us...

Re: Should removing a PicoConnect 441 crash PicoScope 6.14.23.5207 ?

Hi Nurber, No, it shouldn't, but as we know, no technology is infallible. The best thing would be to look into detail at what is happening here, which we can do better if you send the details of the problem (i.e. exactly how it is setup, and exactly what you are doing) into us at support@picotech.co...

Re: Serial decoder - export command

Hi NR2009, Unfortunately, the Automation commands were developed for in house testing, and have long since been replaced. Our Serial Decoding was implemented, as it is now, after development of the automation commands was stopped, so there are no commands for exporting it. The only other way that I ...

Re: Noise floor of Pico 4262

Hi Kathryn, Our Spectrum Mode only plots the Amplitude Spectrum of the converted Voltages (so we apply coherent gain before the FFT calculation, in order to Normalize the levels for voltages). Unfortunately, we don't plot a Power Spectrum of V^(2)/Hz or V/√(Hz). This means that a Spectrum plot won't...
