Re: DC coupling problem is back

Hi Steven, I tried this on a 2105 pen scope and version 6.10.11 but the DC coupling worked fine (I have windows 7 64-bit) Could you try the following- Make a backup copy of the folder- On Windows 7/8/10- C:\Users\YOUR_USERACCOUNT\\AppData\Local\Pico Technology\64.............. On Windows XP- C:\Docu...

Re: Hello Pico in Xojo

I made copy of the DrDAQ code and installed Xojo. I did find and replace on the code 'DrDAQ' replaced by 'ps5000a' You also need to delete all the other code linked to other buttons. I managed to get the ps5000aOpenUnit function to work by changing the code of Pushbutton to code below- Declare Funct...

Re: Problem with Labview example for 5242A

Hi, It most likely the scope has not 'locked up' when you have selected a higher voltage range. It is still waiting for a trigger. By default the trigger is enabled on channel A, with default level of 16384 ADC count. Trigger level = Voltage range (ie 5v) x (Trigger ADC/MAX ADC) for example; 5 range...

Re: Using 100base-tx serial encoding over ethernet

Hi Maziar, I have attached diagram of a LAN tap cable to make for using with our 10/100 BASE ethernet decoding. You can either make the cable from scratch or splice a existing patch cable, and add the BNC connectors. This will only work with scopes with 1M ohm input impedance. Also shown is a screen...

Re: TC-08 Temperature offset

Hi,

Is the PC that's not working a laptop?
Try grounding the USB connector shell to mains earth, with a wire.

Re: Using 100base-tx serial encoding over ethernet

Hello Maziar, The 3406D has enough analog bandwidth to for the decoder work correctly. Even our 6404D and 6407 scopes will be limited by size and number of packets when decoding. These models could used to look at the eye diagrams, but one of our 9000 series units would be the best for eye diagrams....

Re: TC-08 Temperature offset

Hello, This problem is almost certainly caused by the thermocouple being used touching something which is at a different potential to the TC-08/PC earth. If this voltage is greater than about +/-7V the channel is pulled out of he common mode range of the TC-08. This causes all channels to read very ...

Re: Saving mask failure result to a txt or cvs file?

Hi, Yes you can export the mask pass/fail measurement at the bottom of the Picoscope screen to csv file, by using the command- Picoscope.com /a Measurements.CSV? This gives 0ms: Measurements.CSV? A,Mask Failures,True,6,---,---,---,---,7,WholeTrace, Just remember- A mask Fail is logged as True and A ...

Re: Convert AC Current to AC RMS Waveform?

Hi,

Currently you can not get a RMS value of a signal in a maths channel.
But you can add AC RMS or True RMS measurements at the bottom of the screen. These can be exported to a text file via the command line-

Re: Wireless transmission with Pico ADC-20 to computer

Hello Ernieguy, A1) You could use one these- Wireless 4-Port USB Sharing Station. This has Wifi/Ethernet connections. http://www.iogear.com/product/GUWIP204/ (We have tested this with our PicoScope's and the PicoScope 6 software) Another option- You can setup picolog software to run in client/server...

Re: Comma as decimal point

Windows Regional settings are now supported in PicoScope 6.11.10. :)

So for most European languages ie French, German etc
You can now use a comma symbol ',' for the decimal place and a semicolon symbol ';' for the list separator, in maths channels.

Re: Coupling issue when using AWG from 5244B

Hi, I think the issue is the output of the AWG/signal generator not return to 0 volts when the scope is AC coupled. See the image below, the built in wave shapes for triangle and square do not return 0 volts, when the AWG is stopped. If you use the sinewave it does return to 0 volts, and you do not ...
