Re: Only 1 division saved instead of full window

I found that Mathematica should also be able to read .mat files, but when I try to Import[] I get an error "insufficient data found for MAT format". Mathematica claims it can read version 4 and 5 mat files. What gives? Is the data saved as .mat nonstandard?

Re: Only 1 division saved instead of full window

Thanks Hitesh. I want to read as much data as possible in one window, avoiding the gaps in the data going from one window to the next. I plan to process the data in a Delphi program I'll write myself. I don't know how to read .mat data, but maybe I can find something. What's the reason why I can sav...

Re: Gap in continuous data

I'm not very happy with PeterF's (PicoTech) "solution": If you wrote your own application using our software development kit just to capture at 1MS/s you would be able to stream continuously. I spent a lot of good money on my 3200D MSO, I would expect it's your job to take care of features, not mine...

Re: bug report: wrong number of samples

Thanks Hitesh. Your explanation seems to make sense: it happens for all sample counts less than or equal to 10,000, and doesn't occur at 100ms/div or less. I can understand that missing the trigger could be a bad thing, but I think you (PicoTech) should trust that an engineer knows how to operate a ...

bug report: wrong number of samples

I select 10kS, but PicoScope shows 15,000 samples in the Properties windows, and also applies this number. Changing the number of samples has no effect to the Properties window: remains at 15,000.

confusing timestamps

I have this stored data, 200s/div, 100kS: 0.00000000 0 0.01999960 0 0.03999920 0 0.05999880 0 ... 19.95959989 0 19.97959949 0 19.99959908 0 20.01959868 1 20.03959828 1 ... 1999.89990963 0 1999.91990923 0 1999.93990883 0 1999.95990843 0 The value of 1999.93990883 is the 100 000th sample, so its times...

Only 1 division saved instead of full window

I'm using a PicoScope 3000 MSO. I'm trying to log data over a period of 100 seconds, so I set the time scale to 10s/div. I want 100k samples per second, so I set the sample rate at 10MS. Trigger set to single. Seems to work all right, and when I'm saving the data as text I get the expected warning t...

Re: select an asymmetric voltage range

@Aarne: are you serious? This should be just a right click in the vertical axis, and select "normalize" or something.

Re: select an asymmetric voltage range

OK, I found that you can minimize the zoom window, so it's less in the way. I wonder, though, why Pico didn't choose for sensitivity settings like "1V/div", "2V/div", etc, as it is common in scopes. Feature request: I'd love it when I simply can drag the vertical scale by clicking and dragging on th...

Re: select an asymmetric voltage range

Related : when I zoom in the grid falls on odd values, like 0.385V, 0.889V, 1.393V, etc. I would have expected that "auto-arrange axes" would place the grid on more rounded values, starting with the 0V level, but that doesn't seem to do anything. To me the 0.889V line is useless, while for instance...

Making measurements on digital channels (MSO)

It seems I can only select analog channels for measurements. However, timing measurements like cycle time, duty cycle, high and low pulse width are extremely useful to me. Are these available, or can they made available in a future version?

select an asymmetric voltage range

When I select an input range it's always symmetric, e.g. -100mV to +100mV, or -5V to +5V. When I want to see 0V to +5V it seems I have to use the zoom function. However, when I close the zoom window (because it's in the way) the display switches back to -5V to +5V. (How) Can I keep the window I sele...

Re: PDF Edit Password protected

Can the PDF in future versions be unprotected? Protecting so that it's not editable makes no sense, as I'm the one who created the file in the first place.
Alternatively, the PDF could be protected by a password the user can choose herself, and which could be kept in a configuration file.

feature request: tracking rulers

Hi, I received my 3204D MSO scope today, and I already have a feature request :) . It appears that I can only move one ruler at a time (CMIIW). I'd like to see tracking rulers, for instance when holding the shift key, that moves the other ruler when you move one, thus keeping the delta constant. TIA...
