Re: Creating LP filters in Math Processing

Hi,
If if you are using a 3000, 4000, 5000 or 6000 series scope, then Low Pass Filtering is easily applied to any channel by selecting "Channel Options" & "Low Pass Filtering". The break-point frequency can be set.

Re: triggering from a filtered signal

Hi,
I am afraid that triggering from a filtered signal is at present not possible. It would be a major change to PicoScope6.

Re: SST5912

Hi,
The SST5912 dual FET is difficult to source independently and even if you find one the channel offset may have to be adjusted afterwards. If would be best to send your scope back to us for repair. Please contact us on Help-desk:-

Hi,
This does sound like a faulty unit, in which case it is much quicker if you go directly to our Help-desk to get a returns number:-
support@picotech.com
We cannot do that here as all your details would be public!

Please could you contact us by email on Helpdesk:- support@picotech.com and tell us the details of your TC-08 (serial or USB), version number of the PicoLog software you ar...

Re: How to record the time of a signal?

Hi, You can now save a timed file to hard drive on a triggered event in PicoScope6. Select "Tools" then "Alarms". For "Event" select "Capture" & for "Actions" select "Add", "Alarm Action", "Save Current Buffer" & then give a path & filename. Now, whenever a capture has been triggered, a timestamped ...

Re: unable to use new 4000 kit

Hi Juergen, Yes, I think that could well be the problem. The 4424 scope does draw about 440mA which is close to the maximum of 500mA allowed from a USB2 port. If the port detects over-current it will shut down all ports to protect the Laptop. Can you try connecting via a powered hub to confirm this?...

Re: unable to use new 4000 kit

Hi Juergen, Two things to try first:- It might be that the loaded USB driver has been corrupted and it will not be overwritten by a correct driver until it has been un-installed. Please try this. Plug in the scope and then go to Windows Device Manager.("Control Panel", "System" and then click on the...

Re: PH probe STILL wrong

Hi, I think I have found the problem. When using PicoLog with the pH probe and DrDaq, you MUST have the external temperature sensor plugged-in to EXT channel 1 to allow temperature compensation. The readings are invalid and near 7.0 if you do not. If you use PicoScope to read pH the external sensor ...

Re: Three Phase Measurements

Hi, As long as the Variac is wired in "Star" configuration, ie: one earth connection (Star Point) and three "Phase" outputs, then you are OK to connect the scope Ground pin and the -Ve terminals of three channels to the star point. The +Ve inputs of the scope go to the three Variac outputs. If the V...

Re: Up Grade

Hi, Yes, the scope firmware is updated by the PicoScope6 program automatically when required. If you are getting problems with the scope/PC crashing when using high level burst transients, add a few Ferrite rings to the scope probe leads and the USB lead. Either use clip-on split rings our larger so...

Hi,
The converter should work with the DrDaq under Windows 7 but only the 32 bit version, not 64 bit Windows 7.

Hi,
I am sorry but we are unable to get our parallel port products to work under any 64 bit operating system. This is unlikely to change.

Re: PicoLog Data Acq. Software - Windows 7 Starter

Hi,
I don't think you will have any problems but we do not have a copy of Windows 7 starter to test it. Please download the demo version of PicoLog to try it yourself.
