Re: Problem with data dropout

It can also be the laptop, because of the cold.
for example the HD, depending on how cold it is.

Re: PicoScope 6 Sampling Rate Adjustment

Is there any planning on increasing the 100M samples limit for 64 bit systems.
If you have a 16GB or even 32GB system then 200MB data for 100M samples is on the low side.

Re: PicoScope 3425 doing a fantastic job capturing >300V p-p differential surges

Be aware that the 4444 only has +/- 50V max rangen you need the PicoConnect 442 probe to use it on voltages higher than 50V!

But it has a lot (500 times) more memory and USB3 so you can capture at higher sampling rates or for longer durations.

Happy user of the 4444.

Re: Project - Machine Downtime

When a channel is activated the line would go up (to show its live, this would then start a timer on that channel and stay at the hight until it times out unless it receives another input on the same channel the timer will just restart and not drop the line). Then if the same channel doesn't activa...

Re: PicoScope 3000: streaming mode, hardware, OS support

You are looking at 250MB of data that needs to be processed with your application. Or if you want to stream it to an SSD the SSD needs to be capable of writing at least 350MB/sec sustained.

Re: Continuity, resister ,diode test 2204a

These tests are normally done with a multi-meter not with a oscilloscope.

However you can make up a circuit to do these kind of tests if you are creative and want to do some calculations.

Re: peak to peak value measurement

This is because the function generator expects a load at the output (most times 600 ohm) The internal resistor of the generator is also 600 ohm in this case. Because you don't have a 600 ohm resistor at the output you don't have the voltage drop of the internal resistor. So with unloaded generator y...

Re: Data Loss During Streaming 5442D

A buffer of 0.5MS is far to small.
If you sample at 1.5MS then only a small hickup from the HD will cause overrun.

Use a buffer (or multiple buffers) of at least 10 or 20 MS

It works a little bit strange (chrome) not tested in IE After uploading the .png it looks like nothing happened. Then clicking preview after upload you can inline the image. It looks like in (chrome at least) you need to click preview to see the uploaded image and the button to place it inline. 2018...

A ok then you have a problem. As far as I know psdata files created with newer version of the software are not readable with older versions. And there is also no backward conversion tool. You can use the newest software on your in home windows 10 system (without scope) Then you can view the psdata f...

I have used this one from aliexpress or ebay AliExpress Ebay Bridging the input capacitor (most times it is already a 0 ohm resistor) Gives you a DC amplifier with a 33 times amplification. I have modded mine to do a 10 times amplification. I have supplied it with -30V gnd and +30V (total 60V) so i ...

Re: Info Please on Operation of AWG Channel on Picoscope 2405A

Does look more like you have a EMC problem with the inverter and connected motor. The cable from inverter to motor needs to be shielded. And on inverter side firmly connected to the ground. On the motor side the shield of the cable needs to be connected to the motor housing using a proper emc gland....
