Hi Edward, Our linux driver fixes have to take a lesser priority to our Windows support. So unless you can move to Windows for your application or use an older version of Linux, you are right to investigate the alternatives. I'll post something on the Forum, once we find out what is causing the erro...

Hi,

adc200.sys is a low level system driver and needs to be registered with the system before it can be used. You probably need to reinstall the PicoLog application with administrator priveledges then restart your computer.

Hi again,

We normally use polling ... and the development work gone into our software is too significant to release.

Hi,

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to help you, as we don't release the communication protocols on any of our parallel port products. You would be welcome to write drivers for the serial port products though (all of the details are in the product manuals).

Hi, Unfortunately, we don't currently have the resources to fix Linux problems (see the notice on our Linux page ), my advice would be to stick with using the older kernel releases for the time being. We have come across similar problems compiling under the latest kernel releases ourselves and this ...

Hi Samuel, I'm afraid no-one here has enough experience in using Java with our products. If you can find a way of loading C compiled dlls into Java then give it a try, but I'm afraid I won't be able to help you with this ... sorry :?. (the C example files are called adc11con.c and adc11tes.c) Best R...

Hi,

I've checked this out with the manufacturer, and the lead is designed to dump these sparks to ground, so there should be no problem with damaging the unit.

If you want to avoid this happening anyway, just switch the engine off first.

Hi Paul, I would guess that the best way to go with this, is to measure the angle in degrees from North. Where 600mV is 0 degrees and 960mV is 360 degrees (I guess the sensor output is designed to be 1mV per degree). Use a scaling look-up table like: 600 0 960 360 See the help file on how to enter t...

Hi alan, Unfortunately the only console apps we do are in C. C compilers are easy to come by though - Borland do a free one and the Microsoft compilers aren't really very expensive. The example programs are quite simple though, and you would need to do your own modifications to make them useful. Bes...

Hi, Fast block mode can use more than one channel, but it is limited to the buffer size or the unit ... and by the application. The ADC-2xx series are not designed as data-loggers, they are oscilloscopes - we simply extend their functionality with PicoLog for convenience. Our hardware supports our o...

Hi Richard, The ADC-100 speed can be increased from Settings|Options|Advanced. Increase the number of samples per scope trace. Some PCs can be slower than others, this is usually due to the operating system (Win98 is often quicker) but not usually by very much in PicoScope. With regards to the frequ...

Hi Carl, The HT Lead should never have a direct electrical connection which would allow it to be 'zapped'. If there is potential for this ever to happen, then the equipment is not being used safely. The unit is protected from major damage up to 100V dc, however, you can only measure up to 42V dc for...

Hi Ray, We won't ever release PicoScope source code ... but maybe other forum users have delphi applications that they would share with you? Even if you can't program in C, you should still be able to read the C example application (this probably has more features and may help you). The example appl...
