Re: PicoScope oscilloscope for Dirty Electricity

Hi. The PicoScope 4444 is pretty much perfect for this. The application at the top of this page is for 3 phase but shows the idea https://www.picotech.com/oscilloscope/4 ... plications

Re: 3205D MSO: Capable of decoding OABR (BroadR-Reach)

Hi, Yes the 3205D is fast enough to capture / display BroadR-Reach. We do not yet have decoder for this but add new decoders for free regularly (We just added CAN FD in the last week or so). I will add this as another request for the protocol which helps move it up the list but can not make any prom...

Re: CAN FD decoder for non automotive 2000 series

Just to add a bit more info to the reply from Hitesh. CAN FD is one of the decoders we are working on at the moment. It may be a few months however before it makes it into a full release. When it does it will be available for all PicoScope users free of charge. If any customers are using CAN FD at t...

Re: Extremely high CPU usage in PicoScope 6.11.13.2

Hi, Firstly PCs and Macs report CPU use differently - if you run a quad core CPU flat out a PC will report 100% whilst a Mac will report 400%. Running in demo mode always uses more CPU resources than running with a PicoScope attached as the PC has to generate the waveform as well as display it. Whet...

Re: Waveform display is very slow, getting data is very slow

Please can you try collecting and displaying a similar amount of data in PicoScope software with the same trigger conditions / AWG settings. If PicoScope is working normally then we can rule out any hardware or driver issues and the problem seems likely to be in the code you have written. We will ne...

Is there any development with the counting pulses feature?
Thanks,
Yes - PicoScope R6.12 and later has an edge counting feature. More details here

Re: Travelling

I do this all the time and never had an issue (across Europe and US). A few times I get asked by customs what it is so its best to take the paper quick start guide with you. Show this and they seem OK.

Re: I am new to PicoScope

Hi Joseph,

Good to hear you have a PicoScope 3000. Clicking when changing vertical range is something pretty much all digital scope do. Its the noise of relays changing state in the analogue front end circuit.

Re: Temperature Dependency of Picoscope 4824

Just to add as well - if you look at the datasheet you can choose between a 12 or 14 bit output data width but its not a 14 bit ADC. Oddly its 13 bits so you can choose to either drop the least significant bit which is mostly noise or have the 13th bit at the expense of slowing the product down. If ...

Re: Which picoscope to choose?

Hi, Its a difficult question to answer without knowing more about your application. The 2.5MHz network you mention is not really that fast so to just observe a waveform any PicoScope 2000 series should be OK. These come in 2 & 4 channel versions depending on how many signals you need to observe at o...

Hi, Welcome to the forum! Have you tried the latest beta software as this has quite a few enhancements for touchscreen use. It installs alongside the stable version so if you have a problem you can go back to the stable one - I have been using it on my touchscreen laptop for a few weeks now & find i...

Re: PicoScope 3206 - Sampling rate

Hi, I think the problem is that you have set the max memory (no of samples) to be collected to 1 million - 1 million samples spread over 20 seconds is 50,000 samples per second. Increase the max no of samples to collect in the box to the right of the time/div setting and the sampling rate should inc...

Hi Scott,

Check also Tools / Preferences / General and you can change the number of captures that the measurement statistics are calculated over.

Re: ADC-40

Hi,

Which version of PicoScope are you running - it will need to be PicoScope 5 or PicoScope for DOS for such an old product.
