Re: AWG Negative Saturations

This looks like a hardware fault with the unit, therefore it will need to be returned for investigation. Please contact us at support@picotech.com to obtain an RMA number

Re: Fast streaming signal capturing problem

Are you running the Fast Streaming example as supplied or have you made any changes ?
If you disable Channel B does this change what you see ?
If you put a live signal into the scope do you still see the glitches ?

Re: Persistence Mode Training Video

I have checked and agree with your conclusions, there is interference on the clock pulse but it wont be seen with the trigger conditions being used. I will pass this information back to the relevant people although I can't guarantee that an update will appear soon. Well spotted and I hope you enjoy ...

Re: Overflow status & duplicated channels

I would consider giving it a test with a delay in the run_block for loop so that you don't overpoll the driver for the ready condition

Code: Select all

   ps2000_run_block(handle, 50, 2, 1, &runtime);
   for(; ; )
      if(ps2000_ready(handle) == 1)
	 break;

Re: AWG Negative Saturations

I notice from your traces that the Picoscope version you are using is an older one, and hence the drivers will also be older. Can I ask that you repeat the tests with the latest demo version, which will install alongside the other version without interference, and is downloadable from http://labs.pi...

Re: NEW LabVIEW Drivers and Examples for 4000, 5000 and 6000

There are currently no plans to update the LabView examples for the existing 2000 series scopes (2203,2204,2205). However there will be updated examples to support the new additions to the 2000 range (2206,2207,2208)

Can you post the relevant sections of the 4224 code for GetTimebase, RunBlock and IsReady.

Re: more than 8 channels when triggering problems

Martin,
Try adding a delay in the loop when checking for driver isReady, this should solve your issue

Code: Select all

   while(isReady == 0 && (!_kbhit ()))
   {
      Sleep(20);
      status = pl1000Ready(g_handle, &isReady);
   }

Re: SPI/UART decoding is great, but ...

Please can you try the beta version from http://labs.picotech.com/ which can be installed alongside a release version without interaction.

The startup settings are stored correctly although I haven't been able to verify the decoding issue.

Re: Questions about ps3000 C++ example program

max_samples should only used by the driver to check if the autoStop flag should be set and therefore 5000000 should be fine, however there appears to be an issue with the driver rejecting values greater than 2097152. I have reported this issue to the development team. It is possible to work around t...

Re: Overflow status & duplicated channels

Please ensure that overflow is set to zero before calling ps2000_get_times_and_values as the driver will only clear/set data in the lowest two bits, other bits will remain as originally passed.

For the issue with the B channel, can you post your code so that I can take a look at what is happening.

Would it be possible for you to provide your code so that I can look at this in more detail ?

You can post it on here here (please use the code button to format the text so that it appears in a code box) or email it to me at support@picotech.com
