Re: Using ps3206A programmer's guide

There is sample code in the sdk that should help get you started. If you have seen this, and are still having difficulties, then please post your code here and someone will be able to look at it.

Re: New user

PicoScope6 software cannot combine two scopes under one instance of PicoScope6. Two separate scopes can be connected to the same PC but they would need to each have one instance of PicoScope6 running. The two scopes would be totally independent, not synchronised in any way and the results would be i...

The code in the example should help delta = ((frequency * waveformSize) / 4096) * 4294967296.0 * 20e-9; ps2000_set_sig_gen_arbitrary(unitOpened.handle, 0, 2000000, (unsigned long)delta, (unsigned long)delta, 0, 0, arbitraryWaveform, waveformSize, PS2000_UP, 0); 1. Re: Arbitrary waveform generator issue

Picoscope 6 does use the same API and I have seen this effect particularly when using a low signal generator frequency and then changing the wave type.

Re: Arbitrary waveform generator issue

When calling the ps2000_set_sig_gen_arbitrary function it stops and starts the scope which is why you are seeing the spikes. Unfortunately it is not possible to change the waveform on the fly due to the way in which the hardware operates. If you wish to discuss this in more detail then please contac...

Re: Serial TC-08 using Wine?

It's not something that we have come across before so may be down to an interaction with Wine.

Re: ADC-11

You can download the software from our website at http://www.picotech.com/software.html by selecting ADC11 at Step 1 and the appropriate software at Step 2.

What signal are you using and have you set up the channel voltages/timebase before running the data collection ?

Look at adjusting the sample rate so that there are no data bottlenecks between the device and the application

Unfortunately it can't.
However we are working on adding Linux driver support for all our current products so keep checking the Labs site for updates.

Re: PS6000_LOST_DATA

LOST_DATA is not implemented in the 6000 series drivers, the reference in the manual should have been removed.

I would be more interested in looking at the reasons why you are losing data in the first place and see if it is possible to remove these.

Re: Too much noise!

This question was answered through our helpdesk system as below You can easily see 5mV ptp noise as it is only an 8 bit scope with a least significant bit of 790uV. If you wish to see less noise you must reduce the bandwidth being measured, either by enabling a low pass filter or using some "Resolut...
