Re: aggregation process and hardware

Sorry for the slow reply due to the current situation. The averaging will be performed on the device if the down sampling ratio is greater than 8, otherwise it is performed in the driver. When using downsampling the raw data will still be sent over the USB bus, the driver keeps a raw data buffer equ...

We have identified some issues with the pulse and window triggering on the 5000 series, these have been fixed so will be available in a future release of the software.

Re: Real 20000 SERIES osciloscopes analog inputs overload protection

The +/-20V on the device is what you can safely measure, the +/-100V in the specification is the actual overload protection.

Re: Automotive Probes???

You can export each of the probes from the Automotive Tools->Custom Probes menu and then import them in the T&M version.

Please take care when using the scope it doesn't have the same protection as an Automotive one.

Re: 5444D - Increasing delay in streaming

You can't guarantee to receive blocks of samples at fixed intervals, however you can guarantee that all samples will have been collected at the correct sampling interval on the device. This is due to the buffering mechanism on the device and the transfer process from the device over the USB bus to t...

Re: Zoom resolution problem

If the scope is still actively collecting and waiting for the next trigger it is not possible to zoom in and then download the necessary data from the scopes internal buffer to display the trace in detail. If you press the stop button you should find that the zoomed data appears in full detail.

Re: 5444D - Increasing delay in streaming

The PicoScope 5444D can stream at up to 125 MS/s (8-bit) or 62.5 MS/s (12 to 16 bit modes) shared between active channels so I don't believe there is an issue with the device. The problem is likely to be with the way you are handling the data when reading it from the driver and into your application...

Re: picoscope 2204a

We do not recommend using the 2204a for Automotive Diagnostics and for this reason it will not work with our Automotive or Diagnostic software, and will not give you access to the Waveform Library. It is only 8 bit compared with 12 bit for the automotive scopes so you see signals in less detail. It ...
