USB

Dave, No worries on the 'device can perform faster' message. It will run at the 2.0 speed on your PC. Just ignore the message. You'll be in block mode until you enter streaming mode at 100ms/div. The data in streaming mode is saved directly to RAM. All screens will be saved in the Waveform Buffer In...

Resolution

This problem is resolved. Turned out to be a USB speed issue. USB 2.0 is required to use Pico 6 to its potential, or things fall down. An upgrade to USB 2.0 was the solution. Tom Roberts (The Picotologist) http://www.autonerdz.com skype: autonerdz THE PicoScope Automotive Authority In North America

trigger hangs

Joe, Perhaps some more information for the Pico 6 team here. Is this a Vista or XP machine? PC specs....Processor speed, RAM, USB version, etc. Anything else that might be helpful. I'll be happy to poke around in there with you and see if we can get a clue. Or at least gather some more information a...

Trigger

Joe,

I have been unable to duplicate this issue on any PC I have here. If you contact me, I can get in there with you and we can see what we can find.

Perhaps the Pico team here has seen this before and has some ideas.

zoom

Hi Phil,

Not sure exactly what you mean but, if you mean the scroll bar so you can scroll through the capture horizontally, you need to apply some horizontal zoom.

Long times

Audio Guy, I am an automotive guy and use the 3000 series automotive scopes and Pico 6. You should be able to do the following: Set time base for 1s/div for a 10 second screen. Push the samples selection up as high as it will go. The scope should be in high speed streaming mode collecting 2 million ...

OL

Loren, Guess we'll find out soon enough if it is your USB converter. I sent you one yesterday. No, I have never heard of an over limit condition resulting in this problem. Primary sometimes exceeds 400V. Other than going off the scale, this is not an issue with the 20:1 attenuator. In fact, techs so...

USB Adapter

Loren,

You may have a defective USB adapter.

Is this Loren from Morrisville? If so, call me. I can send you another USB adapter to see if that fixes it.

USB

Claudio,

You must continue to use the external power supply. The USB adapter does not power the unit.

Thanks for the feedback on that. Glad it is working well for you. Good to know. So, it does OK when you get into the Pico 6 high speed streaming with samples maxed out?

Hi Jorge, I approved your application this morning so you should be good to go now. Thanks for joining us. I never really explained why I recommended the four channel. You can get the job done with a minimum of two channels. Two is all you really NEED. However, you will find that four channels can b...
