event counter

Hi,

Is there any way I could use the Picoscope 3206 for recording the number of times it triggered on an event and the duration of the event?

Thanks,
Dave

Picoscope 3206 USB problems

The 3206 is now not recognized on any USB port. I tried another PC as well. Both PC are running XP Pro. The PC looks for a driver and says it can not find one. The LED on the 3206 lights up and there is no difference if I use the external 3206 power supply. The porblem started to happen after I intr...

Thanks Miguel, Although real-time sampling is limited at 200MS/s, ETS should work fine with 10GS/s on a repetative clock of 50MHz. I should not need a 500MHz real-time sampling scope for a repetative signal. The analog bandwidth of 200MHz should pass the 4th harmonic, not great, but enough to show a...

I have sent a few examples to tech@picotech.com.

Please let me know if I'm seeing an intrinsic instrument limitation, or a bug that can be fixed with a software update.

Thanks

Yes, picoscope works after it is installed on every "new" USB port it is plugged into. Isn't it strange that the PC senses "new hardware" for the same device that was earlier plugged into a different USB port address?

ETS performance, a real problem or pilot error?

I'm still trying to get "clean" but accurate waveforms from my new pico 3206 scope. I first noticed a problem with a 60 MHz clock oscillator. In the standard trigger modes, the waveform shape and amplitude were inaccurately displayed. While the pico spectrum analyzer measured the correct frequency, ...

removing 60 Hz

This must be a common problem :!: . Is there someone out there who has a better solution?
Since I'm using a "floating" notebook, I will now see if an AC grounded desktop is any better.

how do you get undistrored picoscope 3206 waveforms

Hi, Can someone tell me how I can get 50 MHz clock waveforms that do not have significant amplitude modulation and distortion. I have the time-base set on 50nSec and I'm measuring on a board that is connected to the PC ground, but powered from an ungrounded wall transformer. I suspect my problem is ...

Help menu for options advanced features

Hi,

With my version 5.11.6 of Picoscope 3206 s/w I do not get any help menu when I click on help when in the pulldown menu choice.

I need help with increasing the sampling rate so I could see a cleaner 60 MHZ clock. (The scope thinks it's a 40 MHz clock).

Thanks

USB problem

Having the same problem, with a slight twist, as Steven with my new 3206 scope. In addition to getting the message that Steven gets, the PC tries to reinstall the USB driver s/w for the 3206 when I connect the scope directly to the PC USB port, as opposed to through the hub. The PC has a USB 2.0 por...

scope probe calibration

Just got my 3206 scope with a pair of 250MHz probes from Pico. I noticed that both new probes had poor high frequency calibration and attempted to recalibrate them using 1 KHz from the built in signal generator. I tried turning both pots on each probe and I did not observe any change in the LPF (rol...
