but I find this problem a right pain in the bottom. Me, too!!! A scope mustn't be confused by just "one bad sample" something like that. This depends on what you want to do. In some scenarios I would want exactly that. In any "real" scope this must be user-adjustable. So let's consider the 3000 ser...

Hello I just upgraded my 3206 to 5.12.6, and Ext. trigger seems to work as before. However, you could try to change the triggering settings via the Settings->Trigger menu. In 5.12.3 I did observe some strange changes in the triggering levels, when switching trigger settings from the toolbar. The too...

Hi Sarah, thank you for the advice. I did check the trace line thickness, it was on the thinnest setting all the time. I think I have found the reason for the slow operation, although it is only a guess. I believe the reason was that I had installed the Pico software first, and added the USB2 contro...

3206 slow in Windows 2000

My 3206 updates the screen at about 10 times slower rate in Windows 2000 (SP4) than it does in Windows XP (SP1). The hardware is identical in both cases. The USB2 controller is from VIA (PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3104), probably VT6202, CPU is P4 1.7 GHz. Picoscope is Release 5.12.3, but it was slow also wit...

Thank you for clearing this up. I would put it this way (in technical terms): The external power supply eliminates the DC voltage drop in the ground wire of the USB cable, caused by the supply current. This can be a problem, especially because the supply current changes over time. I would also be ve...

isolation pico 3000 sries

I have a related question:
if there is no isolation, then how is the external power supply supposed to help against ground loops?

Thank you in advance,

Ulo.

3206 questions

Hello! I am interested in Picoscope 3206, and would like to ask about some details which are not covered in the specifications. 1. The specs imply that there is only one ADC. Can the two channels be sampled simultaneously, or will there always be some time shift? 2. How much data can be written to d...
