Re: Transfer Time Rapid Block Mode

Thanks for your answer. I have another question regarding the Rapid Block Mode. The Buffer Memory of the Scopes can be divided into a limited number of Buffer Segments. I have an application that requires a record of 267k Buffer Segments with 100 Samples for each Segment an for each channel of the S...

Transfer Time Rapid Block Mode

Hello, I would like to know some facts about the transfer time of sampled captures by picoscopes to a pc, using rapid block mode. I made an experiment with PS 4224: I have chosen 1000 captures of a 1kHz signal with 100 Samples per capture. The sampletime was 1 second (according to the red LED on the...

Re: Block Mode Setup Time

Could you explain "setting DataBuffer prior to calling RunBlock" ?
Is this the execution priority, adjustable in the VI properties?
Thanks for your help. :)

Re: Response Time PS 4224

Thanks for your answer, I already tried the example VIs. I added a "write to spreadsheet" function to the ps4000ExampleBlock.vi to see, how many captures of a pulse train with 400Hz are saved in the spreadsheet. It is about 30 recorded captures per second, so 370 captures per second are skipped. Has...

Block Mode Setup Time

Hello, I'am using PicoScope 4224 with LabView 2010 on a notebook and have a question about the Setup Time, whitch takes according to the Programmers's Guide up to 50ms, before collecting each block of data. Is it possible to avoid these 50ms between collecting samples? I have an application that nee...

Response Time PS 4224

Hello, I am using PicoScope 4224 with LabView10 to measure and record short pulses. The record length of each pulse is 10 µs and the Samplerate is 10 MSamples/s. I am using rapid block mode and tried different numbers of captures before sending them to the PC. I managed to get a record without skipp...

Re: Real Time operation with PS 4226

The point is, I need a kind of "real time" operation. My program will need the measured data of every 10 µs Pulse on the notebook before the next Pulse (2.5 ms later) arrives.

Re: Real Time operation with PS 4226

This has to run for 15 month all the time :)
I know its a lot of aquired data, but that should be no problem for the scope, only for the HDD of the notebook.

Re: Real Time operation with PS 4226

I need to measure for 10 µs (with 10 MSamples/s -> 100 Points) and the next 2.49 ms is nothing to measure. Within these 2.49 ms the 200 Sampled Points (100 each channel) should be transfered on the notebook. So the data aquisition is only 10 µs of 2.5 ms.

Real Time operation with PS 4226

Hello, I want to use the PS 4226 with Labview on a (fast) notebook to record two periodical signals. These signals have a length of 10µs and a periodicity of 2.5ms. I have to record these 10µs signals at a high sample rate (10 MSamples/s) and it's necessary that this data is stored on the laptop wit...
