I have found that installing libgdiplus seems to have fixed the problem. This library is not installed as Ubuntu core in 18.04 and later builds and appears to have been missed as a dependency. I have not had a chance to try a live instrument as yet but this looks to be solved.

I have found that a fresh install of Picoscope 6 crashes on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Kubuntu 19.10. Installing libgdiplus seems to fix this. This library is not core in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and later but does not appear to install as a dependency for Picoscope 6. There are a lot of people having this proble...
