Re: Rulers in Picoscope for Linux

They do work but there's an infuriating glitch where as you drag them, they periodically get "dropped" for no apparent reason. It's as if you had let go of the mouse button - you have to go back and grab them again. I often have to re-drag them 3 or 4 times to get them where I want them. It's worse ...

Tough crowd!

Would it help anyone to answer my question if I provided more info? Would screenshots help?

Thanks!

TA018 Current Clamp inconsistent

I'm using a TA018 current clamp probe and I've noticed that I get different readings depending on the angle of the wire going through the clamp. If I twist it a little this way and that, I can get changes of around 20% in the current reading. The clamp is fully closed around the wire all the time Is...

Re: Picoscope software 10MS/s streaming, 4444 capable of 50MS/s

I agree. The limit is absurdly low, and having a limit like this is defies normal PC software conventions anyway. If I open too many spreadsheets my computer will eventually run out of memory and crash. But would be my problem. People have been asking for this for years. It doesn't have to be the de...

100 million sample limit

Hi, I've found that when using streaming mode with my 2405A, Picoscope 6 will not record more than around 100M samples. Is there a way to turn off that limit? I found some old threads discussing it, and there was a suggestion that there might be a way to disable this limit in a future release. I'm u...

Re: Input voltage protection

Yes that is fine, the device overvoltage protection is ±100 V (DC + AC peak) Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused though. Maybe I didn't phrase my question very well. I read in another thread on this forum that you shouldn't rely on the overvoltage protection (see https://www.picotech.com/suppo...

Input voltage protection

Hi, I just bought a 2405A and I have a question about the voltage limits. It says +/- 20v - is this independent of the voltage range I select in the picoscope software? I ask because when I tried selecting the various ranges, I can hear it click for 200mv, 2v and 20v, so I presume there's some switc...
