picoscope 6 with 4423 scope to replace ADC-11
We have in the past used an ADC-11 to get multiple channel traces but the device is too slow for the time resolution we now need. We have recently purchased a 4423 automotive scope, which is much faster. Can we use Picoscope 6 with this scope, and if so, any tips on setting it up to capture 3 (or 4)...

Continuing the sad saga... The Device Manager shows Pico parallel port. I was able to get Picoscope to at least recognize the ADC-11 itself by, yet again, removing and reinstalling Picoscope 5. This at least eliminated the "The file ADC1132 failed to load correctly" error on starting Picoscope 5, an...

Answers in CAPS below. 1) when you installed the software did you select the ADC11? YES. 2)When you plug the adapter you have do plug the adapter on its own with out the ADC11 then install the drivers for it. I INSTALLED THE PICOSCOPE SOFTWARE WITHOUT THE ADAPTER INSTALLED, THEN INSTALLED THE DRIVER...

USB/parallell adapter woes
We've been having nothing but problems, since April, trying to run an older ADC11 with your USB/parallel port adapter. The ADC11 had operated fine for years on a parallel port. I have removed and reinstalled and repaired Picoscope 5 more times than I care to remember, trying to fix this, on two, may...

So how does one get the info out of the file without a converter attached? We need to be able to share data files and analyze the traces without passing the scope itself back and forth. Can we put a line into an initialization file of some sort? (I seem to recall having to put a "forcedevice=1112" l...

channel options buttons grayed out
You never answered the (implied) question about the grayed out channel options buttons:
The channel options buttons, however, are grayed out and unable to be clicked.

Thanks for the advice; you've helped me with my confusion about the 0-200 psi range. But it seems that the statement for 0-20 psi it is +/-1V for 0-60 psi it is +/-2V is incorrect with the "% of input range used" as reported by the software for the automatically generated ranges. For instance 0 to 6...

custom probes and input voltage ranges used?
We have a 2203 scope and have set up a custom probe for a pressure transducer. It puts out 0.5 VDC at 0 psi and 4.5 VDC at 150 psi. These were entered as 2 points in a lookup table. The automatic ranges subsequently generated by PS6 for this are 0 - 20 psi, 0 - 60 psi, and 0 - 200 psi. The "custom r...

Let's see if I have this right for the 2203 scope: The trigger level that I set in the trigger boxes (for instance 1 volt rising edge) arms the trigger when the signal reaches it (1 volt), and then the trigger actually fires when the signal reaches 10 least significant bits above the trigger level? ...

Sorry, Picojohn, that I wasn't clear enough in my questions to make it evident that I was addressing this current topic. I'll try again: RE: resolution enhancement Thanks for the tip on the resolution enhancement; we'll take this out completely and see what the traces show. Are there any tips on how...

Another question - how was it determined that this is a trigger hysteresis problem? I ask because the "bad trace" captured never exceeded about 1 psi (0.28 VDC) anywhere in the trace. The trigger level was set at 28 psi (1 VDC). With the scope set at -2 to +2 VDC, the trigger setpoint is 18% of the ...

Could this have anything to do with the resolution enhancement feature? There are several warnings about it in the help file, with such ominous words as "flat line" (the "bad traces" are almost that), but it doesn't give a whole lot of guidance except to try different amounts of resolution enhanceme...
