Trigger rearm latency - 5000D

Hi, Is there a spec for the following please: (1) Trigger rearm latency ? In other words: how long before a new trigger can be re-captured? (2) If the logic trigger function is used to detect the logical OR between 2 trigger events: (ChA rising across a given trig level, ChB rising across another tr...

4227's BNC part number

Hello,
One of our 4227 has been damaged and I need to replace 2x BNC bulkhead connectors. Could Pico share the part number of the BNC's part please? Thx.

Resolution Specifications for 5000 series A versus D

Hello, I was looking at the data sheets of a 5000A series and 5000D scopes and found a difference I wasn't aware of. I just want to check if these are accurate: * 5000A the spec sheet reads Maximum effective resolution is limited on the lowest voltage ranges: ±10 mV = 8 bits • ±20 mV = 12 bits. All ...

Re: USB Device Not Recognized -5244D - USB3

Hi Gerry: a new 5244D was received: With either cable (presumably "bad one" long pico cable; "good one": good quality 3ft USB 3 cable : no issue recognizing scope. Same test as above with previous 5244D... no issue this time. I will test with other industrial computer as soon as I can. L.

Re: USB Device Not Recognized -5244D - USB3

Hi Gerry, So: The industrial computer runs Win7 Pro , and I use pico SDK 32_10.6.13.97 . The computer's USB is Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller which should have the updated driver. The problem occurs before the application runs. When the scope is recognized then the app does not create p...

Re: USB Device Not Recognized -5244D - USB3

Gerry, The USB 3.0 controller on the computer that had trouble with the long cable is a VIA Labs VL812. https://via-labs.com/product_show.php?id=41 USB 3.0 Rev.1 compliant, so the max 900mA as per standard. I can't see anything in the specs about whether it can produce a little bit more for short pe...

Re: USB Device Not Recognized -5244D - USB3

Hi Gerry, thx for your detailed answer. Comment and responses below: These sort of issues can be associated with powering the device over USB that is my suspicion as well. The issue has a marginal aspect, because you can get temporary connections to Windows (via the Driver). yes, most time though th...

USB Device Not Recognized -5244D - USB3

Hi, Are there some issues with some of the USB 3.0 cables shipping with 5244D scopes please ? I am seeing a few of these issues in the forum that are not unlike what I am facing. I have a 5244D scope that is not being recognized (see image). The computer runs Win7 Pro , SDK 32_10.6.13.97 . The compu...

Re: How to use Ratio_Mode_Average

Ok thanks Neil.
It would be a nice improvement to have on-board averaging across buffers as this would boost the throughput. Cheers,

How to use Ratio_Mode_Average

Hi, I want to acquire multiple waveforms (incoming multiple triggers) in rapid block mode. So far so good, it works fine. Now I want to only retrieve the average of these waveforms. To do so, I have been trying to use the DownSampleRatioMode switch set to PS5000A_RATIO_MODE_AVERAGE = 4 and following...

Re: 5244D Data transfer speed

Hi Gerry I have the same question as cassiersg, I am doing rapid block acquisition : 1000 to 4000 captures, and a nbr of points for each capture around 3000 to 15000. The overhead for the data transfer due to the buffer allocation is quite significant: ie: ~ 80ms for 4096 captures of length 2000 poi...

Re: 5244D - no response from LabVIEW

--> using ps5000aOpenUnit call instead of the "-2" version fixes it. Make sure the call change is actually taken in the CN node, I had tried that test yesterday with no luck...

What about all these "ver 2" calls though?
