Re: How to use Ratio_Mode_Average

Ok thanks Neil.
It would be a nice improvement to have on-board averaging across buffers as this would boost the throughput. Cheers,
L.

How to use Ratio_Mode_Average

Hi, I want to acquire multiple waveforms (incoming multiple triggers) in rapid block mode. So far so good, it works fine. Now I want to only retrieve the average of these waveforms. To do so, I have been trying to use the DownSampleRatioMode switch set to PS5000A_RATIO_MODE_AVERAGE = 4 and following...

Re: 5244D Data transfer speed

Hi Gerry I have the same question as cassiersg, I am doing rapid block acquisition : 1000 to 4000 captures, and a nbr of points for each capture around 3000 to 15000. The overhead for the data transfer due to the buffer allocation is quite significant: ie: ~ 80ms for 4096 captures of length 2000 poi...

Re: 5244D - no response from LabVIEW

--> using ps5000aOpenUnit call instead of the "-2" version fixes it. Make sure the call change is actually taken in the CN node, I had tried that test yesterday with no luck...

What about all these "ver 2" calls though?

Re: 5244A and 5244D

Thx Martyn.
Are their SDK function calls I should look at more specifically, ones that may break using the D, or expected modifications at the application level, with the updated SDK please? Thx

5244A and 5244D

Hello, I have a few questions about the versions A and D of the 5244 picoscope: - Beside migrating to USB 3.0 with the D version, are there any other changes documented beside the one I found in the API programming guide for 5000A rev 4? - Which 5000 series sdk version work with the 5244D (would Pic...

Re: ChA&B Block mode trig behavior with 4227

Hi Hitesh,
Which SDK would have this correction please?
I see the one avail is older than the last conversation we had about this in Feb.
Thx

ChA&B Block mode trig behavior with 4227

Hi I am experiencing some bizarre behavior with a 4227 that I would like to share and see if you can reproduce on your bench: HW : 4227 ; SDK r_10_5_11; IDE : Labview 2011, using the ExampleRapidBlock as the base program for testing. Signal: I feed the same 500Hz square pulse (0-5V) on both ChA and ...

Re: Noise Floor - 5000 series - 4227

Hi Hitesh. Thanks for the further info. Yes I understand 4227 and 5000 series are different, nevertheless the performance does not seem drastically improved. Noise floor is really important to pick up small signals, independently of the bit resolutions. The specs on the 5000 state a RMS noise as cop...
