Re: USB recognition with isolator

Hi,

found out that it was connected to an USB2-Port by mistake.
With the correct USB3-Port the PC was recognizing the Picoscop after running up
in recent days. Thanks.

Re: LowPass.Enable.Checked

Hi Martyn,

how much time will it take until we get a solution or workaround for this bug ?

LowPass.Enable.Checked

Hi, the Automation command Channel.#0.LowPass.Enable.Checked=True does not work reliable. Sometimes you have to repeat the macro. If you store a setting lowpass filter as startsetting and load it again, the lowpass filter is unchecked. I'm using a Picoscope 3406D. What could I do to improve that ? T...

Re: USB recognition with isolator

Hi Hitesch,

the Picoscope is inside a system and it is difficult to handle a cable plugin.
Is there a possiblitity of a delayed search for an USB-Device (Software solution) ?
Could you recommend a perfectly working isolator ?

Thanks

USB recognition with isolator

I'm using a 3406D with an USB3.0-isolator from Alldaq. The 3406D is conneced to it's power supply. But if I start the PC there is no recognition of the 3406. I would have to disconnect the cable between PC and isolator and connect it again after the PC was running up. Than the Picoscope get's recogn...

Re: Automation commands (storing pictures)

That is exactly what I suspected: With the API-functions I don't have a way to store pictures.
This could be an item for future improvements.

Re: Automation commands (storing pictures)

Hi Hitesh, I've tried this: 1) Start Picoscope with ps3000aOpenUnit() It becomes active, proved by writing device info into a logfile (ps3000aGetUnitInfo) 2) use command "picoscope /a File.Open.IO=C:\Temp\Startup_Alarm.pssettings" Error: Could not find an instance of Picoscope 6 No. 2 works only if ...

Re: Automation commands (storing pictures)

Hi,

2 problems appear:
1) I would have to load the alarm-settings. It should be possible to load the startup setting by an API-function.
2) According to the manual it is only possible to store .psdata, .pssettings, .csv or .mat file.
Guess you would need the GUI to store .gif ?

with kind regards

Automation commands (storing pictures)

It is possible to get a list of the automation commands with "PicoScope /a ?" But where could I find detailed infomation (like parameters) for these commands ? The scope is to store pictures of waveforms in format GIF (single trigger). I couldn't find an API function for storing waveforms as picture...
