Re: ps4000 library seems to require Admin rights

Hi Nathan, Did you use administrator privileges to install the PicoSDK? I was logged into my user account, but ran the program as Administrator (so it did have admin rights). Anyway, it's resolved now. I'll write instructions to log out after installing the SDK in the install instructions for the s...

Re: ps4000 library seems to require Admin rights

After posting, I ended up solving my issue (but couldn't immediately edit my question due to the forum's moderation policy). In this case, I had not logged out and logged back into my account after installing PicoSDK. This caused the SDK's library path to not be in my environment's PATH variable. At...

ps4000 library seems to require Admin rights

Hi, I'm trying to control a ps4262 from C# on a Windows 10 computer. I'm using the 64-bit SDK 10.6.12.41. When using the ps4000.dll's OpenUnit() function, error 1 "PICO_MAX_UNITS_OPENED" is returned. However, when I run the program with "Run as Administrator", it is able to control the ps4262. How d...

Re: TC-08 USB Isolation

I forgot to mention that it's also possible that our thermocouple will come in contact with salt water or conductive gels, but those are hopefully close to ground potential so it would be more of a measurement accuracy concern than a equipment damage concern. I believe our previous testing was done ...

Re: TC-08 USB Isolation

Thanks for the reply. We're measuring temperatures between 10 and 55 C. The thermocouple will hopefully not come in contact with a signal, but it's possible that it will (on accident). The thermocouple will be wired along the path following wiring with a RF signal (60 Vpeak), and we've demonstrated ...

TC-08 USB Isolation

Hi,

In our application, we'd like isolation between the TC-08's ground and our thermocouples.

Does the TC-08 provide any sort of isolation already? I noticed that its USB connector's color is orange, and I was wondering if that implied that it was isolated?

Thanks,

Nathan
