Re: Pico 4444 using Picolog to Remotely monitor Amps and voltages

Hi, I'm not certain but I think the different software (PicoScope vs PicoLog) are intended for different hardware. I've only ever used PicoLog with TC-08 and PicoScope 6 with PicoScope 2000/4000 etc.. Best of all worlds though would be to see the Picoscope remotely. I've used fairly long (couple of ...

custom / linear units on logarithmic scale

Hi, Is it possible to set the units for y-axis of a spectrum view so that the linear values are displayed but the plot is logarithmic? I'm trying to observe some measurements for which a logarithmic plot is easier to monitor but as far as values are concerned I'm interested in the absolute values. I...

Re: Relating saved data to capture time

Hi, I don't currently have access to the Picoscope itself, and I can't see the percentage at the bottom of the screen if I just load the saved data. The diamond is there (in grey) but no information about it. Moving the ruler to the furthest right gave me the figure that I needed to subtract from th...

Re: Relating saved data to capture time

Hi Benno,

Thank you for your helpful reply. Now all I have to do is work out where the trigger was! I think I can get that from seeing what the ruler says at the far extremes of the trace. I'll give that a go, apply your guidance and hopefully everything will line up.

Thanks again,

Doug.

Relating saved data to capture time

Hi, I've been using Picoscope to capture data with an offset on the trigger timing, i.e. it's not fully at the left side of the trace. Sorry, I don't know if that describes it well enough. After running the test I'm then looking at the data in Picoscope and trying to relate it to other events, such ...

Can I reset the "always trust..." when installing driver

Hi, I was just setting up a laptop with PicoScope and wasn't paying proper attention. When it asked me wheter I wanted to also install the device drivers I clicked yes, but forgot to remove the tick from the 'always trust from this manufacturer'. Whilst I've got no reason to not trust Pico I do not ...

Re: ruler units

Hi Gerry,

That's a useful tip, it helps a lot. And I can play with the number of bins that it searches across which gives me another aspect to doing it that way.

I hadn't thought of using a measurement.

It's going to save me quite a bit of time.

Thanks for your help,

Doug.

Re: Command line parameter details

Hi Gerry, Thanks for looking at this. I had seen one or both of those posts when I'd been searching the forum before. But I guess the answer to my original questions is 'No, there is no resource for details on the command line interface (CLI)'. I did appreciate that the CLI had limitations but did n...

Command line parameter details

Hi, Is there a resource that gives details on the command line interface? I've read the User Guide and used the command line help but I can't find the details I'm after. For example, I'd like to add a view and give it a specific name. I see how to add a view and there's a command to rename a view bu...

ruler units

Hi, I'm looking at a recorded spectrum and trying to determine the peaks using a ruler. The measurement in the ruler dialog box is in MHz to 3 decimal places but the peak I'm looking at is about 1.9kHz. So the dialog box is telling me "0.002 MHz" for quite a few points in the region I'm looking at. ...

Re: Capture Date/Time in Data export formats

Hi, I would find such a feature to be useful too. I've used alarms to save data quite a few times but my post processing makes use of the automatic numbering suffix, e.g. ... data_measured ( 2 ).psdata data_measured ( 3 ).psdata data_measured ( 4 ).psdata ... to sequentially post-process the files. ...

Re: USB server / USB device server & 32-bit or 64-bit?

Hi, I tried posting a bit more information earlier but appear to have failed at that. But if it re-appears then please forgive me if I repeat myself. Some of the problem appears to come form the way the PicoScope system disconnects the hardware from the USB (as far as the USB host is concerned) for ...

Re: USB server / USB device server & 32-bit or 64-bit?

I've discovered that the problem appears to be related to the PicoScope 3424 hardware appearing to disconnect and then re-connect to the USB port of the computer / device server when the PicoScope 6 software is started. At this point the 64-bit machines crash but the 32-bit machines treat this as on...

USB server / USB device server & 32-bit or 64-bit?

Hi, I'm relatively new to using Pico products but have used a different USB 'scope in the past. Now I'm doing some work with a 3424 'scope and have run into an issue. It might be an issue of my own making but if anyone has any ideas they'd be appreciated. I'm working on a project where the PicoScope...
