Re: Memory and USB speed confusion

I'm trying to understand what motivation non-Picoscope brands have to write .psdata files ? I suppose a non-Picoscope brand being able to read .psdata might increase the possibility of migration to other brands, but it doesn't seem like a reason for concern at least for T&M which doesn't provide any...

Re: Windows USB event logging and Picoscope 7 reliability ?

Hi Benno. Helpful info, thank you. Based on "shorter" length experience sounds like a voltage issue ( i.e. 4444 doesn't like below a threshold ). I believe that 4444 consumption is tied to active channels ( & by extension active probes ), but I've experienced my problems without anything connected o...

Windows USB event logging and Picoscope 7 reliability ?

Hi Pico & Forum. I'd like to troubleshoot Picoscope 7 reliability issues with 4444 on Windows 10. I've tried to use stable & beta Picoscope 7 on Linux with a Dell XPS 9310 for many years, but have not found it reliable (i.e. disconnects and/or unresponsive display). On Windows with a different lapto...

Re: Unable to zoom with mouse scroll wheel on Ubuntu

It's coming up on a year since reported and I'm trying to understand why such a basic feature wouldn't be implemented. Perhaps Linux Picoscope users too few ? or whatever the cross-platform development tools used don't actually implement hid for all platforms ? Inquiring minds want to know. I will s...

Re: Unable to zoom with mouse scroll wheel on Ubuntu

I'm confirming that I cannot use a mouse or a touchpad to zoom on Ubuntu ? If able any suggestions on how to work ? If unable I would like to say that I think this an important usability issue and think it should be a priority.

Appreciatively, Sven

Confirming J1939 in T&M 7 per the included link...

Hi Forum. I'm without my 4444 at the moment so perhaps I don't see J1939 as an available protocol as a result of being in demo mode, but reading the following I believe that T&M now has J1939 included amongst decoders ? https://www.picotech.com/news/news-article/new-can-j1939-decoder-free-for-picosc...

Coming up on 6 years since the last update to this thread. I'm curious if Picoscope has done anything about this ?

Re: Why a limit of 256KiB on uploads to this forum ?

Has not been my experience that limit has increased to 20MB and as bennog recent attempted post ( below ) of 16MB also failed I would say I'm not alone. Disappointing, wish I had more patience as others seem to have for dealing with it.

...while on the subject is it not possible to save changes to a file maintaining the same name ? When I make a change to a file the save dialog defaults to a timestamp name forcing me to copy and paste the existing name from file manager or by typing over the timestamp default.

Re: Shouldn't opening a .psdata reveal that data file in Picoscope 7 ?

I wondered if something having to do with file associations and permissions. But having given everybody read and write permissions on this file and since clicking on .psdata loads Picoscope I can't image how. I've attached a screenshot of "Open With" tab from file manager. Do I remember you having a...
