Re: Trigger method other than via channel A/B

Is there really no workaround to get some external triggering done? Or is my question ignored?
Every simple 2 channel analogue or digital scope has one. In fact I have purchased a 1 channel picoscope because I always need the other channel for triggering.

Trigger method other than via channel A/B

Hello, I am currently using the 2205A version if PicoScope but when I want to use the trigger possibility I have to sacrifice one channel to do that job. Is there a way to use the Signal Generator for that purpose and so saving a channel? Otherwise I am forced to buy a 4 channel version just to fulf...

Re: Picoscope swithes off after "copy as image"

" Does this mean that you are unable to click the start/stop button to start data collection again? " God, I completely overlooked that button on the lower left corner!! Yes, I notice now that it changed from "Running" to "Stopped" and I simply have to click on it to get things running again....

Re: Picoscope swithes off after "copy as image"

Hello Hitesh, Sorry for my somewhat late response but for some unkown reason I did not receive a mail that there was a response. But here the answers on your questions: " When you refer to the application 'switching off' are you referring to the application stopping data capture or that the applicat...

Picoscope swithes off after "copy as image"[Solved]

Every time after I have taken a picture via "Edit" > "Copy as image", Picoscope switches off and I have to do a reconnect to get things running again. Is this a known bug or do I have to do something extra to avoid this behaviour? My O.S. is Linux Mint 18.2 MATE 64 bit and the Picoscope6 version is ...

Re: Trigger signal channel not to display

Hi I have come up with a work around on a linux version of PicoScope 6 Beta. You will need to ensure that the channel B is sent to the back by clicking on the axis scaling. If you then go to the tools menu then preferences, then colours, select channel B from the drop down menu and change its colou...

Re: Trigger signal channel not to display

" I hope this is help as I did this on a windows version of Picoscope 6. " That is exactly the problem. In Linux, at least in the latest version of Picoscope 6 Beta, this is not possible. Because I have installed Picoscope on my Linux Mint 18.2 MATE computer, I find it very annoying to not(yet) have...

Re: Trigger signal channel not to display

Hi If you right-click on the scope mode view screen and go to the channels option you can change which channels are displayed on the screen without turning the channel off which will allow you to continue to trigger from channel B still without displaying it. Neil Neil, thanks for your response but...

Trigger signal channel not to display

Using my 2205A for a while now I stumbled across this problem: When I use for instance channel B as trigger channel, I often do not want to display it. When I do not want to display it and switch channel B off, the triggering switches to channel A. How can I switch the display of channel B off but s...

Bode plots for 2205A

Hello, When trying to produce a bode plot on my 2205A, and browsing this Forum to get some hints I stumbled across the FRA stuff from a guy named Hexamer. But after trying to find out how to install this FRA software from him I got completely lost. Is there some "how to" available which starts from ...

which type of screwdriver do I need?

Purchased the picoscope 2205A with two probes included. But when I want to calibrate a probe, P6060, I am facing problems when I use an ordinary screwdriver and I do not want to ruin the probe. Tried to find out which kind of tool I need but without success. Can somebody tell me what kind of screwdr...

Re: Copy as Image does not(yet) work

Thanks Martyn for your response. The actual installed Picoscope 6 version is 6.12.9.35 Beta, But in the meantime I discovered: After having executed Edit > Copy as Image, my 2205A freezes(as I wrote above) but suddenly I noticed that the "Stop" button in the bottom panel is then activated(did not no...

Re: Copy as Image does not(yet) work

It seems that my problem is ignored here?
I have a few days left to return my purchase of the 2205A to get my money back.
It seems that I am forced to take that action....
