Re: USB TC08 Cold Junction

In an effort to answer my own question I found that the CJ temperature can be recorded and used as the Room Temperature of the TC08. My setup is in a boiler room which is warm and it displays as such, so I guess it is a real sensor. It would have been nice if PicoTech confirmed it though!

USB TC08 Cold Junction

Is the Cold Junction in my TC08 a real junction or an electronic one? The reason for asking is because I was wondering if the ambient it was working in would effect the measurement accuracy.

Re: TC-08 Detecting a mains On

Thanks for all the details. This is for a one off project so a short life solution would be ok. I happen to have a psu left over from an audio project which would need a few mods to make it suitable, so that was on my list of solutions, but then I thought battery, which I think is still my favoured ...

Re: TC-08 Detecting a mains On

Thanks for the replies.
I considered a low voltage power supply but thought the battery solution simpler, even though the voltage would be changing. Hadn't thought of the opto solution though, I will investigate this.

Thanks again

TC-08 Detecting a mains On

This maybe a cheeky posting, but anyway! I have a TC-08 and am using it for a range of temperature measurements. The temperatures changes are the result of a heat source being switched on and vary in their reaction delay times. I would like to know when the Mains event occurs and the varies delays. ...

Compile Error opening 2000 in Excel.

Win10 64 bit, SDK 64 bit, Excel 2016

Trying to ease my way into SDK, all new territory for me, and so chose Excel for my PS2205.
As soon as the file is opened I get this error, even after placing the dlls in the suggested folder.

What should I do?

Re: Recording events only

Thanks Martyn,
If I program my 2205 as if it was 1216, how will I be able to know that it is correctly coded?

Cheers

Re: Recording events only

Thanks again, food for thought!
I have a Picoscope 2205 but not yet a Picolog. Could I practice/learn a programming solution with my Picoscope, all be it not the device to use finally?

Re: Recording events only

Thanks Gerry,
The events have no set duration or count so only an absence of all events could be used to stop recording.
Learning C to accomplish this seems a step too far, the most I have ever done is Visual Basic !
I will have to think of another way.

Recording events only

Is it possible for say a voltage change to start and stop a picolog recording? For example if there are large time intervals between a sequence of actions could the initial voltage change of the sequence be used to start the recording and later, its removal stop the recording, that way the record wo...

Screen Capture

Pico 2205, PicoScope 6.12.7.2687, Win10, Dell i7 Laptop. I am trying to record some traces for sharing with a colleague who does not use Pico, XY and Spectrum, but Edit>Copy Entire Window only gives me part of it. Is there a setting I should alter somewhere? Also, I would like to make a movie of the...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

Thanks for your reply. I was about to test it with the 'standard' tools within pico after watching a Youtube video about it. The PreAmp input is 47k, I am unsure about the output, it is an Op amp AC coupled. Yes levels are a bit of a problem as 5mV is the 'normal' input level. I can set the gain low...

Re: Frequency Response Analyzer with Bode Plots

What a fantastic application of picoscope!
I found it when I googled pico and frequency response. I want to check out an RIAA PreAmp I have made, that I believe is not correcting the high frequencies sufficiently.
Before I start I wanted to check if anybody else had done this, using this tool or not?
