Re: Glitch in 2205A AWG triangle...

I'm glad it can be reproduced at least. Let me know if you can when it might be fixed and I'll test it.

Re: Glitch in 2205A AWG triangle...

Also, it doesn't see the glitch itself easily, so connect the output of the 2205A to a higher bandwidth/different clock domain scope to see if you can reproduce it.

Re: Glitch in 2205A AWG triangle...

Will test tonight with this version, didn't know a new one was out. Is there a change log or what's new for this version?

Re: Glitch in 2205A AWG triangle...

I can get this tonight, but there is nothing special about it. Turn on the AWG, select triangle, I think it was 800mV amplitude. The issue was viewed on an analog scope and also a 2207B. Can you try to repeat this test with a 2205A to see if you can reproduce it?

Glitch in 2205A AWG triangle...

I noticed that there is a glitch when looking at a triangle wave on a 2205A:

See this picture:

In this case it is happening at zero. I confirmed this by looking at it on an analog scope as well. My 2207B AWG does NOT do this.

Any ideas?

Re: Choose PicoScope for Arduino / RC hobbyist

They get better and better as the price goes up, but most things are like that. My favorite sweet spot picks are: 2205A without probes - I wouldn't go less than this, you get 200 MSa/s and 25 MHz which isn't too bad for most projects. 2206B is better as it has 500 MSa/s, 50 MHz, but more importantly...

I ordered a 2207B so we'll see how I like it when i shows up!

Please advise on the role of sample memory...

Looking at two different models: 2206B vs 2208A: 50MHz/500MSa/32M of sample memory vs. 200MHz/1GSa/48k of sample memory. Besides the obvious difference in bandwidth/sample rate, my question is what will be the effective difference in the picoscope software for the 32M vs 48k sample memory? I know th...
