Re: sourcing a Pico USB parallel adapter

First an apology, my recollection of the price was way off  The PCIe card was £33 and bought via ebay.co.uk. They are still listed under item number 220449191466. As the description says, it is a "real Parallel Port, not USB to Parallel." The Chip is Oxford OXPCIe952 and also includes an RS232...

Re: ADC200 mulfuntion

I've been getting this problem recently also. It only happens on Chan A (ADC200-100) and a re-power of the unit (and a restart of the s/w of course) usually fixes it. Sometimes needs several attempts. Not sure exactly when and why it has started doing it...many things have changed in my setup: new m...

Hmmm, post back here if you have any luck doing this...I couldn't get the parallel port to be seen by Windows XP virtual mode running under Win7-64.

Re: sourcing a Pico USB parallel adapter

The easiest way around the problem is to add a PCI or PCI-E card. I have one (one RS232 + Parallel) which only cost £10. EDIT: £33

It got me going under Win 7 -32 bit with my ADC200, but no solution for 64bit Windows though :(

Thanks for your reply Ziko. It is a pity, but at least I haven't spent money on the PP196 to find this out! I have used my ADC200/100 on and off over the last 10 years on my various hobby stuff, but there's no way to justify a new equivalent (about £700 with VAT). My plan B is to build an XP PC out ...

ADC200/100 + PP196 + 64 bit OS

Couldn't find an answer to this any where, so may be someone here will know please? I would like to run my ADC200 on a Windows 7 64 bit PC if possible. From what I can see, only USB products are supported with 64 bit drivers. If I purchase the PP196 USB/Parallel adaptor, does this then make the ADC2...
