To read .mat files in Labview, use the Matlab data plugin http://www.ni.com/example/29178/en/ . After installing that into Labview, use the Storage/Data Plugin sub-palette in Labview's file reading palette. You will want to open the file, then Read Data [channel] with "A" for the Name of the channel...
