Re: capturing a large stream fast

Hi Martyn, thanks for coming back on this. >>not sure where the 2GS comes in. I can select 2Gs in the select box below the help menu in Picoscope6. What does this mean then? I thought this was the buffer size. If I knew what my glitch looked like, I would surely trigger on it. Anyway, how can I fill...

capturing a large stream fast

Hi, I am running PicoScope6 with a PicoScope5203 connected. Normal measurement tasks work out just fine and I am really happy with the instrument. I have one task, I just can't get to grips. Here is what I want to do: I want to sample at the highest possible sample rate (1Gsps) until the buffer is f...

Re: Bug fix for interval trigger and/or persistent mode?

Hi Martyn,

thank you very much for the patched dll. It was quite a job to replace the system protected original, but it is working great now. Intervall trigger works as it is supposed to with this new dll.
This dll isn't supposed to fix the persistent mode issue though, right?

Best regards,
Tom

feature request ventilator off

Hi, my Picoscope5203 has a terribly loud ventilator. Would it be possible to switch the ventilator off while the instrument is not measuring but the software is still running? At the moment, I always shut down the software to shut down the ventilator. But restarting it takes quite some time. Just pr...

Re: Bug fix for interval trigger and/or persistent mode?

A new beta release R6.7.11 was uploaded on the 21st Dec The new beta release fixes the persistent mode problem sort of. Persistent mode now works for all sweeping speeds, but I have seen several program freezes. A report has been automatically sent to Picotech. Unfortunately, the events I want to c...

Bug fix for interval trigger and/or persistent mode?

Hi,

a while ago, I have reported a bug in the interval trigger and in persistent mode, see http://www.picotech.com/support/topic11605.html, which has been confirmed.

When will there be a fix for at least one of the two problems?

Regards,
Tom

Re: How to trigger on glitches?

Hi Martyn,

many thanks for looking into this.
When can I expect a patched software version with a working interval trigger? Beta would be ok.
I need this trigger for my work.

Thanks, Tom

Re: How to trigger on glitches?

Ok, I have found Advanced Triggers which should do the job, but for me this somehow doesn't work. Have I misunderstood the concept or is there a problem in the software? I am also seeing a problem in persistent mode. For a summary of my problems see here: http://home.arcor.de/baier/AdvancedTriggersP...

How to trigger on glitches?

Hi, I have studied the trigger modes of Picoscope6 in combination with my Picoscope5203, but I couldn't find what I need. Here is what I want to do: I want to trigger on glitches which are very short impulses. So, the trigger should be fired if two slopes (either rising or falling or any) are closer...

Re: strange behavior on dual display setup

From your document it appears that the screen sizes are different, can you select the same resolutions for both and select 100% font size and check if the problem still exists. I have downloaded Picoscope6.5.80, switched both screens to 1024x768 resolution and switched to 100% font size. The proble...

Re: strange behavior on dual display setup

Are you able to right click anywhere in the blue title bar and get the pop up menu to control the window ? Yes, this does work. That's the way I used to move the window back to an area where I can control it. This behavior is odd. I have tested several other Windows applications including some I ha...

Re: strange behavior on dual display setup

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't used the scope in a while. I have found something I think. It is not the x-coordinate but the y coordinate that seems to cause the problem, see this report: http://sdr-kits.net/DG8SAQ/Picoscope6%20Window%20wont%20close.pdf P.S. Another related issue: Picoscope6 ap...

Re: strange behavior on dual display setup

Hi, I have just downloaded the new software and I still have this problem. I have moved the program to the left auilliary screen on the external monitor and maximized it there. Now I'm stuck! I can no longer tile the window and resize it onto the main screen to regain control. The program is now stu...

Re: strange behavior on dual display setup

Sorry for having been unprecise. With AUX I meant the auxilliary LCD display connected to my notebook to which the Windows desktop was extended. The desktop was extended on the external LCD to the left and Picoscope6 was visible on the external display only. I have a Picoscope5203 but this is no har...
