Re: UART decoding

The UART decoding concept it's just great ! A confirm the timing problem, in the same time a small hint: If you set 7 bits data (in place of 8), the decoding of consecutive bytes seems to work (if ignoring the "Framing error" message) :) But we are waiting for the "official" solution. Best Regards, ...

Re: Vista 64 bit or Virtual Machine

Hello again, I have installed PicoLog version 5.20.9 on my Vista x64 and it can not detect my PicoScope 2204. Until now I have used several times PicoLog with vmware and everything worked (with a winXP32). Any ideea why it doesn't find my device? Thank you ! lateredit: And i don't run picoscope in t...

Re: trigger problem

So ... I understand that ...
for 2204 the trigger example is a problem !
I don't think that this behavior of the osciloscope is a normal one ... No one wants that with a trigger option set ... it shows a hardly-triggering signal / a non stable image from a periodical burst of data.

Re: trigger problem

hello,
if you are talking about the time-delay, the delay before/after the trigger event .. no, there is no trigger delay :(

I think there is a bug someware... I hope not in the hardware.
I hope that someone can confirm/infirm my problem

trigger problem

Hello, I'm using the 2204 osciloscope. I have a signal with bursts at ~37Khz and when I set to Auto, Repeat or Single .. the trigger is not very precise. Sometimes it trigers at another rising edge, not the first one. The picture below it is an example. The problem is that whan viewing in Auto mode ...

Measuring 220V AC with 2204

Hello, I have a 1-10x probe. The 220AC has a amplitude of 320V ... so with 10x probe the limit would be 32V... The protection limit of the 2204 is +/-100V ... so I could measure directcly the voltage of the power network ? If my calculation are correct... what would happend if, accidentaly, I change...

Standby: Connected or not connected to usb

I was wondering ... If i'm not using the oscilloscope (I have the picoscope 2204) for one - two days or more ... what am I suposed to do: leave the oscilloscope conected at the usb plug (and having the red led lightning) or unplug it from the usb ? Each time I have to unplug it when i'm not using it...

I understand that you could reproduce this problem. I'm glad to hear that it isn't a hardware problem because this means that it will be resolved in the feature. Usually ... what is the time period to resolve this kind of bugs ? Or ... in other words ... whan could i espect to appear a new version o...

Time/post-trigger delay bug?

Hello, It's about a picoscope 2204. Trying to understend the post trigger delay I observed some unusual things: - If i set a time delay which it is "in the screen" (entire arrow is visible when selecting the trigger yellow point) it's ok - If i move the triger to the left and the arrow tries to get ...

And the signal from my remoe control looks GREAT !! :D Thank you ! Lateredit: I see now what big differences are in SampleRate if chosing, for example: 200...

I have a new Picoscope 2204 :D :D and I'm very happy :p But I cannot reproduce, for testing, the 80k square.png example. I used the signal generator for a 80KHz signal; In 200ms/div the sample rate is to slow ... i think .. comparing to the other example. And .. in the screenshot you can see that th...

Vista 64 bit or Virtual Machine

Hello,
I'm about to buy a 2204 picoscope and I have two questions:
- Will PicoLog be available for Vista 64 bit ? (in what period of time?)
- Can PicoLog run under a Virtual Machine with WindowsXP [ like Virtual PC or VMWare ] with the USB 2204 PicoScope ?

ThankYou.
