Re: Band width of a 100MHz scope is greater than of a 200MHz

Hello, I use the signal generator of the 5444B for input to a Rigol DS2072. The trigger output of the DS2072 has a rise time near 1ns. This output is the input for the 5444B and 5243A. I connect alternative the 5444B and 5243A. So they got the same signal The signal has a 50Ohm termination. I also f...

Band width of a 100MHz scope is greater than of a 200MHz

Hello, why is the band width of my PicoScope 100MHz 5234A greater than the band width of the PicoScope 200MHz 5444B? The pictures show the same signal with same BNC cable with 50 Ohm terminator. The rise time of the 100MHz scope is slightly faster than the rise time of the 200MHz scope. Best regards...

Re: Channel A of 5243A shows wrong waveform

Hi Gerry,

thanks.

I have fixed the problem with a soldering iron.
Now it looks fine (I reset colors to default).

Re: Channel A of 5243A shows wrong waveform

Hello,

I found whats matter.

The contact from center pin of connector channel A to PCB has almost 300 kOhm.

Channel A of 5243A shows wrong waveform

channel_A_problem.jpg Hello, I take a 1kHz waveform from the generator of my PicoScope 5243A and use a BNC tee to connect the generator to channel A and channel B of the PicoScope 5243A The waveform of channel A is wrong. The low frequencies are damped. Best regards egonotto PS: Sorry for first inc...

Re: PicoScope 4262 resolution

Hello Martyn, thanks, with the new PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.12.7.2687 I got the 16 bit. Nice that the programm works with VISTA 64. But with the SDK I have still only 14 bit. Exists there new driver for the SDK? Copy the new dll-files over the old files from the SDK does no...

PicoScope 4262 resolution

Hi, it seems than the resolution of my 4262 is only 14 bit. As example in 20V range the least difference seem 2.5mV. This is only 14 bit. In the C console from the SDK the ADC values from block mode are also multiple of 4. This looks like 14 bit. Only if you take stream mode it seems you got the who...

Re: Measure of SNR seems to bad

Looking at the traces in the first post the difference between the fundamental and the first harmonic / highest harmonic appear to be similar to the video, and similar to readings I am getting here. How are you connecting the signal generator output to the channel input ? Hello, yes the trace looks...

Re: Measure of SNR seems to bad

Hello, I reflect about the SNR problem and I make new measure of the signal and noise separately. The noise is about 0.05 mV RMS (in +-1V range) The signal is about 671 mV RMS. So the SNR is about 82 dB Thus i think the SNR value in the video is way too good. 97 dB SNR would give a noise about 0.01 ...

Measure of SNR seems to bad

Hello, i watch the video "How to measure the dynamic range of the PicoScope 4262". See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxluPd1nZ8I I do the same measurement with my PicoScope 4262. But my measure give way to bad SNR. In video the SNR is -97 dBc (sign? and dB). With PicoScope 6 Version 6.10.16.2 I go...

Re: spikes in triangle from functiongenerator of Picoscope 4

Hi Hitesh,

thanks for your answer.

My 4262 has the spikes in triangle on and off also after hours.

But it is not fatal, for one can use the arbitrary mode to get an
undisturbed triangel signal
