5203 Scope:Function Generator Question

Hello I'd like to know if it is possible to get a sinewave out of the function generator that has more than a 1V DC offset...by whatever means necessary. I've never really programmed the PS so could that be a possibility. I've just noticed you can't go beyond +1V or so with the DC offset setting and...

Printing Ruler Legend

Hello

I've been trying to figure out how to print a waveform along with the Ruler Legend (for the DELTA time function). I could swear that I've done with before but I can't get the plot to show the details of the Rulers. What gives?

Re: AM Waveform of AWG

Hi Ziko I apologize but I don't know what you mean by the "amplitude varying all of the time". Doesn't a normal sinewave have it's amplitude "vary" all of the time? In fact, don't ALL waveforms have amplitudes that vary all of the time? :?: I really REALLY need this to work and I don't see how it's ...

Re: AM Waveform of AWG

I was able to attach a graph of what it should look like. However, the .cvs file I made won't attach to this post for some reason. (???) Anyway, I generated this waveform in SPICE and was able to place the data in a .csv. I was also able to import this into PS. However for some reason I do not under...

Re: AM Waveform of AWG

I got a bit farther today. I was able to get an AM generated wave out of a spice simulator. I cut it down to 8192 samples. However, what I see on the PS is a jumbled mess. I verified the waveform itself in the simulator AND in a graph in excel. It "looks" right. But when I bring it into the AWG it's...

AM Waveform of AWG

I'm trying to come up with an AM modulated waveform in Excel for the AWG. For the life of me I can't figure it out. I need 1 kHz tones riding along with a 455 kHz carrier. The confusion I think has something to do with what to set the Picoscope frequency generator at once you import the waveform. Si...

Will PS6 work with Windows 7?

Hello

I'm thinking of upgrading my PC to Windoze 7. One of the considerations will be if my software is compatable and PicoScope 6 is one of those.

What is the situation now with PS6?

Thanks

Ok, thanks I went and tried an Excel spreadsheet and was wondering about the precision of the .csv file can be. When I save the file as .csv I can only get 2 decimal places. Is this enough to carry over to PS? When I do I get a lot of spurs in the waveform and I'd assume these are from imprecise dat...

Library for Arbit waveforms?

Hello

I was wondering if there was a library from arbitrary waveforms. I'm not quite sure how to build what I need. I need a 1kHz signal modulated at some typical AM frequency, say, 500kHz or 1 MHz. I was wondering if there was something already build/written I could modify.

Thanks

Latest PS Ver. 6 user guide?

Is there an update to the User Guide for the software in .pdf form? I thought it was usually available on the site but I can't seem to find it. It's been awhile since I looked.

Also, is there an update to the 5302 scope hardware?

Thanks

Scope probe problem..

One of my probes that came with my 5203 scope seems to have a noise problem. The time base has a funny noise and the spectrum of it is awful. Using my other probe on the same line shows a low level noise. If I move the cable on the bad probe it seems to raise and lower the noise. Where can I sent th...

I've notice another anomaly with some of the measurements. This time it is the "DC Average" on the scope. For some reason this is off a bit. I have the scope hooked to a DAC output along with a DVM. The scope and DMV do not give the same result. I would think they would since the DVM doesn't do any ...
