Re: Disable Overrange Warning

Hi dnoyeb, I didn't check that how much of the range you're using. So, if you're not using the full -5V range then you could apply a negative offset to the Channel Input (slightly larger than the amount by which you are over-ranging) which would allow you to remain on the 5V range without over-rangi...

Re: Disable Overrange Warning

Hi dnoyeb,

Unfortunately, providing an out-of-range warning is a necessary implementation for all Manufacturers of Test & Measurement Equipment, in order to comply with Functional Safety Standards.

Re: Hello

HI Ryan, You certainly would be able to test your waveform generator and pixie transceiver using a PicoScope, but you would need to pay close attention to (a) the maximum bandwidths required to accurately reproduce the captured waveforms in the graphic display of our PicoScope Software and (b) what ...

Re: Phase continuity AWG of Picoscope 2205

Hi Diederik When changing waveform setup data, all of our PicoScopes need to stop generating the old signal in order to have new settings loaded to then generate a new signal. So, unfortunately, as there is no way to do that instantaneously, you will get a lag between the waveforms. However, if what...

Re: Digital outputs

Hi Paul, To answer your curiosity, the PWM in the PicoLog1216 has a duty cycle that is adjustable from 0% to 100% in 1% steps, during setup, but the duty cycle can’t be altered once it is in operation. To answer your question regarding getting started using the SDK, we do have Basic.Net examples non...

Re: Pico 2204 Hardware or Software Pico 7 problem

Hi mihaidumitrescu, You could put the video on to a cloud storage drive (e.g. Google Drive) and then post a link here. However, what we really need is to try and reproduce what you're seeing and then capture information about what the software is doing at the time, none of which can be done with a v...

Hi mihaidumitrescu, Sorry I had a lot to get through before I could check this post and respond. Could you post both data files showing the difference. Could you also post a trace.xml file for the session where you used PicoScope 7 (should be in your folder here C:\Users\AppData\Loca...

Re: Power supply regulation problems with USB Isolator and external power supply?

Hi Bitsplitter, that I can measure 230VAC signals without being electrocuted Well, unfortunately, you're approaching this the wrong way. Even if you got the isolator working you run the risk of damaging your Scope. What you should be doing is using Voltage Probes that are suitable for measuring pote...

Re: Pico 2204 Hardware or Software Pico 7 problem

Hi mihaidumitrescu, Our T&M PicoScopes are not suitable for Automotive applications (even when using attenuators). This is why we have Automotive PicoScopes. There is still the possibility that you could have damaged your PicoScope. I would start by just seeing if you can measure 12V from the batter...

Re: Reading thermocouple in contact with 18V metal tab

Hi batteryboy, The answer is yes, but you should ensure that the TC-08 ON period doesn't overlap with the transistor powering ON period. Alternatively, you could avoid any potential problems, and perhaps make life easier by either: (a) Using a Laptop running on Batteries to power the TC-08. or {b) R...

Hi anton-firmware, Here are some answers for you: Practical answer Your Capture period is too long for the period between Trigger events. If you only need to see one generated waveform in your Captured data, and you have some way of verifying that you are generating waveforms for each trigger that d...

Re: Display of timing information in graph window

Hi Mostritch,

You can't display this information within the graph plot area (if that's what you mean by graph window), but you can display this information just below the graph plot area as measurements of 'cycle time', 'high pulse width' and/or 'low pulse width'.
