Re: Help with 4262 and Pico6 ...

Hi Aethertech, If you don't force the change by restarting the averaging process in the way I demonstrated, then with a 50 waveform buffer capture, the Spectrum mode Average plot will always be averaging the last 50 waveforms as long as you have the trigger on Repeat, Auto, or None. So it will then ...

Re: USB 4 (Intel Thunderbolt 3)

Hi Pdavvit, It's still early days for USB 4.00 proliferation through to standard products, and products take some time to design and get to market. So where USB is one of the key differentiators of a product (as it is in motherboards for computers) the manufacturers will be already designing this in...

Re: mA loop to direct temperature measurement on a PicoLog 1216 w/small terminal board

Hi LabTech, What you need to do is connect a 120 ohm resistor across the terminal board connections (as shown on page 7 of the Small Terminal Board User Guide here: https://www.picotech.com/download/manuals/picolog-1000-series-small-terminal-board-users-guide.pdf) that will connect to the input you ...

Re: Scope for testing TV, Monitor, & Projector properties

Hi ithilienranger, I'm assuming that you're specifically targeting monitors and TVs for gaming and movies (as opposed to design, graphics and image manipulation) where response time is more important than colour accuracy and resolution. For currently widely available display technologies the fastest...

Re: MODBUS RTU decoding captures different to RS485

Hi Schorsch , This could be due to the inter-frame delay being too small. According to the ModBus RTU Dec 2006 spec, for bit-rates higher than 19200, the minimum inter-frame delay (t3.5) should be 1.75ms. I can't tell from your posted image what the inter-frame delay is in your capture. Regards, Gerry

Re: Changing default directory when installing

Hi surepic, I've been looking through the posts, and I noticed that yours hasn't been answered, and the answer is that there are no options of switch settings that will enable you to install PicoScope on another Drive. If you search for it you may find a workaround that will enable you to do what yo...

Re: Pre-trigger samples from ps2000_run_streaming_ns

Hi imgreen, I've been looking through the posts, and I noticed that yours hasn't been answered. So, in case you still need the answer here it is: Regarding the additional pre-trigger samples, when you are streaming the data, the data is being sent to the PC regardless of what you are doing with the ...

Re: Zooming in and out discards waveform data

Hi PhreakShow,

What you're describing is a drawing error, which I will log with our development team if they are not already aware of it. In the meantime, You have a simple workaround for it.

Thanks, and regards,

Hi Frank,

I've just being going through forum posts and noticed that you never got a response for this issue. If this is still an issue for you could you send it in to us at support@picotech.com with a full description of the problem with an example data psdata file.

Re: PicoLog crashing after a couple of days

Hi Clive, You haven't had a response from a Picotech member of staff on this probably because this was a period where rapid changes were being made to a new product with evolving features, errors and corrections. So it's quite possible that this has been fixed. If that is not the case then I would s...

Re: Help with 4262 and Pico6 ...

Hi aethertech, To answer your first question, what you can do is set a fixed number of buffers to use for capturing data in the Preferences, then set an alarm to restart the capture after filling the buffers, then use a repeat trigger to perform enough captures for your averaging. This will then ave...

Re: isloators and status 286

Hi Eric,

Thanks for giving us an update.

The start up procedure of our devices involves 2 stages of connection via USB which can sometimes cause issues with USB devices mediating between the PicoScope and USB port, and also USB ports if they don't correctly implement the switching.

Hi Ed,

Digital inputs are not supported in PicoLog 6. You can use PicoScope 6 to capture and process digital data.
