Re: Tracking Mains waveform characteristics

Hi Martyn, the logging facility behaves exactly as described but I still have one small problem. What I ultimately want to achieve is to produce a plot of frequency against time as I believe that a generator used to supply mains is occasionally dropping outside the normal accepted frequency limits. ...

Re: Tracking Mains waveform characteristics

Thank you Martin for your comprehensive response. I haven't had time to try it yet but feel sure it can solve my problem. I appreciate the mains warning, thank you. Having acted as a safety auditor in my working life I readily appreciate the dangers (and for what its worth, RF burns in my experience...

Tracking Mains waveform characteristics

I am a retired RF engineer and infrequent user of my 2206B Picoscope. I would like to use this scope to monitor the amplitude and frequency variations in a generator-sourced mains supply. I would like to use the built-in scope functions to measure RMS amplitude and frequency, say, once per second an...

Re: landscape printing with Picoscope 7

Nowhere can I find a means of selecting portrait/landscape under the "Print" button in Picoscope 7 but I have found a workaround for my case. I did a screen grab using the Mac utility and opened the subsequent file in Preview and then printed from there. I get everything I want, including all of the...

landscape printing with Picoscope 7

I have a picoscope 2206B connected to my MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.2 1. I recently downloaded Picoscope 7 and tried to print a trace in landscape mode to my wirelessly-connected Canon MG4250 printer but the option to select landscape mode does not appear to exist and the output appears as a par...

Re: Measurement unit problem on 2206B

I think I have partially solved my own problem. If I select the "Y" axis scale window and select "dBV" I get the correct reading but I am a little surprised that the scaling doesn't adjust automatically to match the input signal. Sorry about the typo on AWG but the question about source impedance st...

Measurement unit problem on 2206B

I have noticed an apparent discrepancy between a sine wave amplitude displayed in scope view and the corresponding component displayed in spectrum view. If I select a 100mV amplitude signal fixed at 20kHz and connect the AWG port directly to the channel B port (no probe or external attenuation), the...

Picoscope Beta for MAC OS X

Hi,
can you please confirm (or otherwise) that the current beta release of Picoscope 6 for MAC OS X is useable under MAC OS X 10.9.4, (Mavericks)?

Thanks,
