Re: PT-104 under Linux

Hi, Many thanks for the pointer, I didn't notice it was a Linux library. Once this was sorted, and after a few more attempts (Linux issues), I managed to run the demo program, which worked. I am now in a good starting place to figure something out with the logger. Thanks again for your help. In case...

Re: PT-104 under Linux

Hi Mario, Many thanks for the procedure. I managed to set up the repository, however when installing libusbpt104, it failed with the following message: libusbpt104-1.0.4-1r06.i386 from picoscope has depsolving problems --> Missing Dependency: libusb-1.0.so.0 is needed by package libusbpt104-1.0.4-1r...

PT-104 under Linux

Hello,

I've seen that you provide Linux drivers for the PT-104, but I could not find any software or SDK download.
Could you tell me how I could go about using the PT-104 from a CentOS (5 or 6) machine, preferably through ethernet?

Re: pt104 data logger

Hi,

Do you have any other procedure I can try?

Otherwise, I'm also willing to try it in real condition, with PoE. What is the power needed for the Pt-104 to work correctly? Do you have any reference for a small switch (4 to 8 ports) I could buy?

Re: pt104 data logger

Hi, I am using Picolog 5.23 (downloaded last Thursday). I've done a few more tests: # Using your procedure (Ethernet settings, unplug, plug), the software detect the device but then crashes the same when I click OK. Auto reconnect doesn't change anything as far as I can see. # I've also tried someth...

Re: pt104 data logger

Hi, Thanks for your quick answer. I'm a bit surprised by the behaviour of the Picolog software. If the logger power went off, the software should just say so or throw a "disconnected" message when the status button is clicked. If I did something else wrong, then an error message should appear, possi...

Re: pt104 data logger

Hi, I'm having the same problem as Gurpreet. Here is what I have done so far: - install software (Win 7 pro 64) - plug Pt-104 through USB - start software and check it works through USB - close software and start the "Ethernet settings" program - close program, add an ethernet connection (to PC thro...
