Not fully using the sample buffer

It seems like the PicoScope software does not fully utilize the sample buffer. I have a PicoScope 6404D, which should have a 2GS sample buffer. But I can only get 1GS by shifting various settings. It looks like it could be a one-off bug in the software. If I set a single channel with the maximum set...

Re: Setup for TA 112 active probe

Hi

I found the 50 Ohm input setting in the Picoscope software. Much easier than using extra hardware.

Re: Setup for TA 112 active probe

I tried configuring a custom x5 probe, but it seems the signal gets very blurred on the screen if I do this. Do I need to do anything else for this?

Setup for TA 112 active probe

Hi

I have a Picoscope 6404D with 4 TA 112 probes. Do you have .psprobe files for these? The default setup with x10 seems to measure double voltage, showing 3.6V where I expect 1.8V.

Re: Reduce sample resolution in streaming mode

The 4824 only has 20MHz bandwidth, which is what I was referring to when I said "in this class". We got a 6404D, which has 500MHz bandwidth. This fulfills our primary goal with the purchase, and my current investigation focuses on trying to see if we can get more out of the investment. The specific ...

Re: Reduce sample resolution in streaming mode

As long as possible, but the usual sweet-spot has been around 30-60 seconds when using the USBee's. The signal would need at least 3 channels to get the most valuable information. A complete signal decode would require 6 channels, but we haven't found any hardware with that many channels in this cla...

Re: Reduce sample resolution in streaming mode

I am specifically looking at a digital signal clocked at 200MHz. So sample rates of about 800Msps with 1 bit resolution would be really useful here.

Reduce sample resolution in streaming mode

Hi We are currently ordering a 6404D, and I am exploring bonus features, e.g. streaming mode via SDK. Is it possible to lower the sample resolution in order to be able to hit higher sample rates in streaming mode? For example if I am sampling a digital signal, then I might just be interested in know...
