Thanks Martyn, I had hoped to find today out if our OS was fully patched/updated, but our IT support guy was on holiday. Now my workplace is closed till 6th Jan, will try again then. Internet access was available during software installation, although our security settings don't allow .exe downloads...

Not absolutely sure. It runs on our school network, with SP3 coming up under the system information. How can I tell if it's fully patched ?

I have recently purchased a 2205, which came with software version 6.7.28 on disk. Installation went smoothly, but it fails to detect when the scope is plugged in, even though the XP hardware wizard does detect it... I have read the forums, and tried both other downloadable versions (6.7.40, 6.6.57)...
