Re: Using picoScope 6.0 with DCC

Hi,

From your screenshot it looks like you are using PicoScope 6.10, there is a new stable version PicoScope 6.11 available with improved DCC decoding:

Re: Picoscope 2205 MSO on OpenSUSE13.2

Hi hcgrant,

Unfortunately this appears to be a SUSE 13.2 bug:
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=901458

As per the bug, please either create the missing symbolic link yourself, or try installing libgdiplus-devel

Re: Issue decoding i2c protocol

Glad you have it working. Threshold 1 is a lower threshold and Threshold 2 an upper threshold for determining the signal edges. Providing two thresholds allows some hysteresis, and therefore the detection is more robust to signal noise.

Re: Issue decoding i2c protocol

Hi vbr,

From the screenshot you have posted, it looks like the thresholds could be set too high.
It appears that you have 0 to 3.3v signals, so please try:

Threshold 1: 1v
Threshold 2: 2v

Re: Beta Release of PicoScope for Linux

Hi lohan,

Thanks for the trace file. Please try updating to the new release.

Do you have this problem when running PicoScope without the device attached?

It may also be worth reinstalling the mono packages. The problem seems to be in libgdiplus.so

Re: Beta Release of PicoScope for Linux

Hi lohan,

Please could you attach here or send a complete trace file to support@picotech.com.

The trace.xml file can be found in ~/.local/share/Pico Technology/260a68f1-30f-0a5e01d65514

Thanks,

Re: Could not load type 'az' from assembly

a possible workaround is to either edit or create the preferences.xml file in ~/.local/share/Pico Technology/260a68f1-30f-0a5e01d65514/ with the following entries:

The PicoLog 1000 series drivers are now available in the linux repositories.

Follow the instructions on http://www.picotech.com/linux.html for your distribution.

Then install picoscope or install libpl1000

thanks for that, it would also be useful to look at a .psdata or .pssettings file with the configuration you are running.

    hi omegait,

Thanks for reporting this. Which device are you using?

We can also look at the trace.xml file (that is overwritten each time the program is started), which can be found in ~/.local/share/Pico Technology/260a68f1-30f-0a5e01d65514

    Hi timorley,

We recommend saving to the MATLAB 4 format. This is an open binary format:
